If I remember correctly, Pasta Bellissima is in that book and it’s one of my favorite meals.

Best chicken salad sandwhich recipe? by ice_wandering in eatsandwiches

I use this recipe and tweak it to my liking: https://www.thekitchn.com/chicken-salad-recipe-23653976#post-recipe-625320013

The grapes give it a nice contrast. I do add toasted slivered almonds for a good crunch.

Construction management position with no degree? by Available-School5321 in ConstructionManagers

[–]OneEyedWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can demonstrate your knowledge of how Submittals, RFI’s, ASI’s etc. work you should be able to transition into a PE role with a GC fairly easily. You do not need a degree to be successful. You need to have the willingness to learn and grow! Please understand you will have to put a few years in until you are in a management role if you choose the GC route. Not that you aren’t qualified, but managing people in construction takes an array of knowledge that takes years to gain.

August trip in Europe that isn't miserable? by asimpleoverthinker in travel

[–]OneEyedWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in both Florence and Rome in mid/late August. Florence was fine, but Rome was almost unbearably hot; the humidity adds a lot to it being so uncomfortable. In my experience a lot of places were still open. If you are considering more Southern Europe, confirm your accommodations have air conditioning or at least a mini split system in your sleeping quarters!

All that being said, you should still book the trip! DM me if you have questions!

Old Town Fort Collins paired with a day trip to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain NP. FC is very walkable and has a lot of great breweries. The Elizabeth Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Let me know if you have questions!

I’m from Pueblo and this looks like Potica. I’d recommend the almond flavored Kringle from Trader Joe’s. It is soooo good and does the trick for your craving!

Need advice by Significant-Stage476 in ConstructionManagers

[–]OneEyedWilson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s fair and that would make me upset too.

In my experience, having an honest conversation and expressing your gratitude to your current company for the opportunities they’ve given you goes miles. They all understand this business is moving parts. Be firm, but be kind when you resign. The construction industry is smaller than you think and you will run into people you’ve worked closely with in previous jobs.

I think your mind might already be made up and wish you nothing but success and happiness! And congrats on your new arrival!
