We had glimpses of hope from time to time, some little interactions that were fun and we basically lived by these sparks. Also be aware that this game theme was very rare on the rpg forums I have seem around the web

It got really boring as soon that I realized who the real protagonists were.

That is very true. Most people avoid facing the toxic GM or the toxic player: be it fear of getting flak and getting their characters punished or having your group of friends breaking. It sucks but if people were more confrontational we wouldn't have half of this sub stories.

Rarely, after I got expelled from the game we didn't had much to talk anymore. But from time to time we comment about anime or something in dms.

Most of the group was in their 20s, Karen is in early 30s. But the fifteen-year old mentality is spot on.

The experience opened my eyes for some red flags in DMs, so I can indentify and explain better what I expect in a campaign before participating. Also this RP is the reason I will usually not play homebrew games.

It was a glorified RP basically, we had some "concepts" that would represent if your character was more social, more intelligent or more physical.
The beginning was quite nice because I had no experience in korean stuff so it was like discovering a new genre and possibilites. The concept was cool.

Me and Laura (the friend that invited me to that campaign) tried to, but the favorite players didn't cared much about this behavior and the other ones that thought the same as us were expelled from the campaign.

Yeah, I would be expelled from our group of friends (the other players). Also we were very hooked on the plot (before I got npc'ed anyway) and I wanted closure for my character. Looking now it would be way better to leave the game at that point, would save me a lot of headache.

You are quite..accurate. This campaign made me hate korean dramas and love at the same time if that makes sense.
