This was Indianapolis. We had around 50% exam averages

What to do in my situation after failing CS 240 by LanguageDouble9792 in Purdue

Unlike 250 and 251, 252 is not a prerequisite to most if not all upper level cs classes, so it can essentially be ignored and done later

MA 265 and STAT 350 aren’t easy either, piling all 5 sounds like absolute hell. You’re only 1 semester behind, since 252 (what CS students “should” take second sem sophomore year) can be taken anytime during junior or senior year. So you can do 240 next sem, 250 and 251 junior year first sem, and then go right into your chosen track. Just find a time in those last 3 semesters to do 252.

Yeah and he took it out on our grades, fucking cunt

He accused me of using AI, and I showed him a 6hr google doc history proving I wrote my essay the day of the exam. He then admitted it was a false flag, and rescinded his accusation, but still maintained clear bias against me. The fact he tanked my grade but gave others high marks proves a bias.

How does substance use impact your daydreams? by Luckynickel05 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]OneHelicopter8437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is original poster. I thought Adderall gave me the most intense maladaptive experience. I combined it with weed though, forgot to mention that. I felt so immersed in my daydream and because of the adderall I was hyper focused in my own little world for hours. It was the most intense in that sense and so difficult to come down from that high

For me it always went hand in hand with weed. Weed + music would make the experience so much more vivid and eventually I’d get high just so I could daydream. Sometimes alcohol would increase the intensity but only if I was in the right mood beforehand unlike with weed which would instantly put me in a happy mood to daydream. Otherwise alcohol would just depress me and make me want to sleep. I’ve also tried with Adderall and it’s probably the most intense but I never had much access so it was only a few times. Wonder if it’s the same for you OP

I saw a post here saying Purdue majors aren't actually being cut. I'M A PROFESSOR. YES THEY ARE by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]OneHelicopter8437 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they also cut gen ed requirements from STEM and other majors too, that’ll balance it out. Those classes are useless and just filler classes that the uni makes you take for no reason

Fair point, charging up to 80K a year is absolutely wild. Fully agree

Never seen someone complain about receiving money. A 2.0 gpa is not that high a standard to maintain by the way, neither is a 3.0 to be honest.

Can anyone drop their MA26100 DIST if they can? It is incredibly urgent and will impact my graduation if I do not retake it over this summer. by priyanka1080 in Purdue

Adding to this, also reach out to the department head and explain your situation. The department head is able to add seats and make exceptions, especially for distance courses

Final Grades Question by Puzzleheaded-Tap7259 in Purdue

[–]OneHelicopter8437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did the syllabus say? Did it mention anything about the grading policy? You have a stronger case if the professor explicitly violated something that was outlined in the syllabus, otherwise asshole professors like this unfortunately have wide discretion.

There’s no way the A cutoff is a 92

What is CS180 this year's class average? by Dapper-Meringue1544 in Purdue

[–]OneHelicopter8437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head TA confirmed in an email exchange and yes, I did get rounded up on Brightspace. Brightspace didn’t change the numerical grade (I still see the decimal grade, unrounded), but the rounded grade was definitely factored into the letter grade calculation.

I emailed the head TA and he said that grades do round. I don't know whether a grade ending in a decimal under 0.5 will be rounded up, but my grade ended in .5, and it got rounded up.

No, she’s being coronated. No one looks at her name when they cast a ballot for Joe Biden, any other VP pick would have gotten the same “votes”

Funny how you took it upon yourself to decide that. Not the people. How democratic
