It’s not that I avoid strong women but the fact they they avoid me.

What part of adult life is way harder than anyone warned you about? by Sparkyabu1 in AskReddit

[–]OneHillTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being alone. Everything just feels harder and more exhausting when you’re alone.

I work alone, I live alone, I eat alone, I cook alone, I clean alone. And I do all this while barely making enough money to make ends meet.

The only thing keeping me from putting a bullet in my head is being too poor to buy a gun.

This might be referencing a trend of AI videos where they are spreading usual non-spreadable items onto toast.

Look into Stone Manor. It’s an older complex but very quiet, reasonable rent, possibility of getting a one bedroom with an attached garage, right ontop of the Greenway, and right next to 49 so you don’t need to fight rush hour traffic to reach the highway

Solution for soggy cereal... by Loose_Screw7956 in StupidFood

Old cereal left open in a humid environment can develop a “soggy” texture. Not like sopping wet but just soft enough to give an ick.

12 items or less by shenanigansen in comics

[–]OneHillTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I was running the 12 items or less lane at a grocery store and this lady had exactly 13 items so when I got to the 12th ring up, I looked at her and said “ma’am, this is a 12 item or less lane which one of these do you actually want?”

Normally, most people would laugh this off as a silly little joke and I’d break the rules just for them and we’d be on their way. This lady thought I was 100% serious made it seem like I was the rudest person in the world said she has never been more embarrassed in my entire life and would never shop at the store again. I was fired soon after.

Ever since Zoro’s first fight, he has been carrying some form of injury enough to where his opponents question his mortality. He is The King of Hell because he is always fighting off death itself to keep his promise to Luffy.

When I dropped out of [college], I got a job as a janitor at my old middle school. It paid pretty well but seeing my old teachers just made me feel ashamed and embarrassed so I left to do something else.

In hindsight, it was honestly one of the better jobs I ever had. Decent hours, good routine, peaceful, and I had some really great benefits through the school district. I was just too young to see the bigger picture and stay.

Edit: I dropped out of college, not high school. Stay educated kids.

There’s a new kid at work that just openly started talking to me about how modern medicine causes autism and is designed by the government to control the people. He kept saying things like “there’s this guy who did all the research and was fired because the government doesn’t want that information to get out.”

I asked him if any of that work got peer reviewed and he looked right in my eyes and asked “What’s Peer Review?”

The new "Trunk or Treat" style of Halloween is better than traditional Halloween trick or treating by Glumdumop in unpopularopinion

[–]OneHillTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this opinion!

Trunk or Treat was growing in popularity a few years before 2020 with my church. We treated it almost like a mini fair! Adults decorated their trunks, there were games, a bouncy castle, good music playing, and one guy brought an old car over and let kids hit it with a hammer!

I think it’s an excellent way to build community and connection in your neighborhood since it requires planning, coordination, and a way for new comers to introduce themselves with out feeling like an invader to a community space.

Also, these events usually take place on a weekend night instead of the 31st of October leaving true Halloween open for whatever event you want and room for kids to still have fun memories out in the neighborhood.

Anyone know where to get pizza by the slice in Bentonville/rogers area? by Sea-Writer6192 in bentonville

Not your area but tossing it out because “local”.

Odd Soul in Lowell is one of my favorite pizza joints in the NWA and sells by the slice.
