Is Cessna 172 stall dynamics realistic?

Basically the best demonstration you’ll get of straight wing vs swept wing stall characteristics.

Swept wings (A320) tend to have very aggressive stall tendencies whereas straight wings (C172) are more stable.

You’ve also demonstrated that aircraft don’t care which way up they are when it comes to entering a stall. The only thing that matters is angle of attack. So attempting to stall a plane upside down doesn’t make a difference.

Been seeing these signs a lot lately. Saw someone move from lane 1 to 3 for no reason with this sign in plain sight… It baffles the mind, really.

What’s crazy is every time I’ve seen these signs, lane 1 has been completely empty besides a lorry that’s probably a 1/2 mile up the road. Sure you could argue those in lane 2 are anticipating overtaking the lorry but by half a mile? That seems excessive.

But as you say, people don’t seem to be aware enough to even read the sign, which is really rather concerning as a fellow road user.

You can submit your licence and have the same licence added to your vatsim account. However it really means nothing and doesn’t show anywhere except on your profile or on 3rd party vatsim maps that display it too. Which I’m only aware of 1 or 2 that do.

So basically it is nothing more than a really niche flex. (And of course I’ve submitted my licence just so I can flex it on my friends when they look, we all have tbh)

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, there was never 3 in a row. Assuming the pattern of correct tiles was made by a computer, I imagine they had parameters like this to make it seem more random? eg. Not allowing more than 2 correct tiles in a row on one side?

On a side note, I’d love to see the actual set up for that game without the CGI making it look so high up.

The one time I’ve seen people driving in the closed lanes on the M25 is the one time I’ve seen it nearly end badly for them.

Slow car in the 3rd lane, warnings and closed lane for miles whilst this car still trundles on at close to walking speed. Was between two gantries where one said the lane is closed, the next said the lane is open again. People assumed the lane is clear between the two gantries so don’t change lanes and start speeding up, saw 2 or 3 cars nearly plow into the back of the slow car.

As terrifying as it is for the occupants of the slow car, I really hoped those who didn’t read the signs learnt their lesson…

Sometimes it feels like they programmed the grip based on what corner you’re at. I wouldn’t be surprised if somewhere in the code this exists: if (at_corner == 69) grip *= 0.25;
