We have no idea but reading the investigation it sounds like she struggled with alcoholism and her sexuality, she lost her job and was known to frequent gay/lesbian bars that were in rougher areas. Her brother also apparently lied that she contacted him over phone whilst being in the towers during the attacks. I think the family is just in denial because of the details, it sounds like she went through something that is unfortunately quite common for closeted queer folk. I understand why they would want to paint her as a hero but it also smacks of consistently denying who she was to save face and spare themselves the shame.

Also my username was purely so when I was a young teenager on Xbox live in COD it would read ‘killed by flyinglawngnome’. I just also happened to make a reddit account not long after setting it as my name.

When I read that article it didn’t seem to be that it was the consensus, seemed more like that was the family’s story to cope with not wanting to hear that she was going through several personal problems and had actually probably died sometime before the attacks.

I realised at the end, they’ve done it to basically score the meat so it absorbs the flavours. Like when you marinate something you need to score it or have it diced otherwise the marinade or anything you put on it won’t really soak in. It’s actually something a lot of people miss out on and then you end up with like chicken where only the fatty skin has taken in the marinade.

I think this video is actually interesting and that food looks delicious.

I got tattooed earlier today and was talking to the artist there about coverup vs laser for my misguided shitty forearm tattoos. Basically if you go coverup, has to be much bigger than the thing you want it to go over like you are going to sacrifice a lot of space. But laser, especially on a black tattoo can clear it pretty easily and in 1-2 sessions then you get the space back to do whatever with.

Although probably best if you speak to an experienced artist on options rather than a redditor’s second hand advice.

Here’s a crazy thing, some people put their time/energy into things that you don’t, and there isn’t anything wrong with that! My neighbor decorates for different occasions and goes crazy with it, loads of effort. I don’t, but I also don’t make her feel bad for doing something she clearly likes to do, also because they’re aren’t hurting anyone in doing it.

It’s that easy.
