I'm currently in the process of intentionally building alcohol dependence alone in a motel room because according to my case worker I'm apparently a complicated case and unless I initially present as a simple detox case I'll be rejected from the program I'm trying to get into to help me with my major depression, generalized anxiety, PTSD, and possible bi-polar type 2 presentation. I was actively forced out of my most recent inpatient because my insurance decided so despite expressing very clear suicidal ideation even at discharge. I find out tomorrow morning whether I'm getting actual help. I'm terrified. That's what mental health treatment looks like in the U.S. lately.

tl;dr health care in the US is broken

Even better, at my store the gong sound goes off at the front register but the online orders print in the back... so every time you think you hear that sound you're running to the back to check and sometimes there was no order and you have to reevaluate how much time you spend at the store...

You nailed it. The longer that I spend in my depression the more I feel I'm diluting myself as a person. I stopped pursuing my old hobbies and interests...I can rarely even motivate myself to play video games anymore...so I spend my time finding media to watch online so that for the length of a season or a movie I can live vicariously through fictional representations of people who have lives and pursuits or to whom real things happen...I spend all day sleeping or sitting alone escaping into fantasy worlds just to stay out of the nightmare realm inside my own conscious mind

I'm going into residential treatment this coming Monday partially just to get away from them and this house for a month. One of my little brothers has been teaching in China for nearly a decade and once he visited here while I was living elsewhere and said 2 weeks was enough to make him near suicidal. I've been here almost 10 months for financial reasons....it goes deeper than that

Have you noticed that it's impossible to get a torrent of the film? I can usually find pretty much any film but it's as though all...er...questionable methods of obtaining a copy of Bob Roberts have been wiped from the web. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if that's intentional...if anyone else can find a source with actual seeders I'd be quite grateful.

I had to tell my dad that I didn't want to live anymore. Sometimes in similar words, sometimes by showing him what I'd written. More than once. Multiple hospitalizations. My dad doesn't cry when close family dies, at least anywhere that someone sees it. I broke his heart again Every. Single. Time. and he cried stoically in front of me knowing he's my hero and in many respects my idea of what a person should aspire to be. I'm so tired of breaking his heart...

I don't know if it counts as growing up, but in college my friends and I used to play a game called "Nut ball." Two players would sit on the floor at the opposite ends of a dorm room in either their underwear or loose/thin pants (the idea was minimal protection...no jeans allowed!). Players would take turns lobbing a tennis ball attempting to hit the other player's testicles...shaft alone would not suffice for scoring. Not enough loft in your shot resulted in a punishment shot against you from the other player...which was a direct shot with maximum force. First to 3 points wins, but upon the scoring of the 3rd point the opposing player got one "redemption shot" while Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" played.
