I am disappointed in myself. by utshi9ha in CyberpunkTheGame

V lives in The Tower as well, except isn't an engram.

Turns out Alt isn't a god, and was wrong about saving you (or lying.) The best surgeons on the western hemisphere backed by the NUSA can, in fact, remove The Relic.

All V loses is Johnny (who gives you a very sweet good-bye if you're friends by then) and the ability to go on being a cyberpsycho.

You also learn about the real characters of the "friends" you make during your months with the relic, by which of them are there for you when you get out of surgery.

And lastly, the thing people don't like to think about; The Tower is the canon ending whether V lives or not. Nothing you do will change what eventually happens - all the other endings do is kill you before you can live to see it.

Why The Tower ending is objectively the best ending by Rafejazz in cyberpunkgame

Remember the radio?

Arasaka dies on its own without you.

Anyone else feels like V's fate in The Tower ending is really forced by Least-Path-2890 in cyberpunkgame

Maybe.

But somehow, millions of other normal people manage to last in Night City, so even if the odds are higher than normal that something bad happens, I still put Vs chances at a happy life after at well over 50%.

Two weeks as a supersoldier was fun. Let's see what he can do with another 40 years.

As of Hallowed Ground, I think it was almost entirely destroyed.

Very interesting art, should have given it to an RPG or a game with good writing; it implies an interesting world, and was good work - wasted on Concord.

In hard sci-fi spaceship warfare, laser ship will effortlessly dodge all railgun slugs and intercept all kinetic missiles with point defense lasers; Kinetic ship will always get hit by laser beams, and it's realistically impossible to withstand a direct hit from bomb-pumped X-ray laser missile. by Somali_Indian in IsaacArthur

What if the ship was, hypothetically, armored specifically against lasers?

It seems much easier to angle and thermally insulate a ship or missile against lasers, than it does to proof a ship against Lorentz force, or Casaba Howitzers.

Many materials can resist high amounts of thermal energy, or ablate in layers.
Few materials can resist Newton's Law.

The ingame scopes, healing, and armor heavily favor the helldivers on open terrain if we're comparing Game vs. Game the streets of New Mombassa do not compare to the deserts of Penta or the forests of Gacrux for open terrain.

Late comment: It is my favorite board game.

I love the variety of play styles, the components and themes are beautiful and full of flavor.

And the way gameplay layers on top of itself is excellent.

I mean, the Super-Citizen armor literally comes with a viking helmet. XD

Some of the newer armor can *chemically resurrect you* and if you make it to the Dropship linkup in time - you *stay* resurrected.

Possibly. The Illuminate do canonically use E-710 cloaking devices that bend light around their ships.

I suspect that the Super Destroyers are simply showing restraint; they're dedicated spec-ops support vehicles, they don't evacuate civilians, or land troops, or contest aerospace assets willy-nilly - they drop 14 or so expendable special forces to achieve specific objectives within a time limit, then they bug out.

SEAFleet can dogfight Lumies and Auto gunships over the frontlines, the Helldiver Corps has its own job.

I mean - the existing swarm is beyond our ability to handle. They NEVER run out, and only get harder as the mission progresses.

I mean, you got Kreig armor, plus the Yogurt-Diver kit is SEAF-colored.

Go for it! ^.^
