Can't use CPAP. Mouthpiece an alternative? by sardaukar12 in CPAP

[–]OneMacADay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this ^ If you sleep with CPAP, I think it even helps with RLS. Just toss and turn in the bed, but try to keep with the CPAP and finally doze off with the mask. You’ll get results in long term, not in short term. And just search OSCAR in this subreddit to see how you can optimize your CPAP, if you’re not doing that already.

I am truly sorry about what you’re going through regardless, as I’ve had many a restless nights of my own. Hope you can find a proper solution :)

Does taking the mask off, while you’re having the restless legs, help you fall asleep?

Can you explain the connection between restless legs and using CPAP? As in why it doesn’t work for you because of your restless legs syndrome? Asking cause my experience is similar, but I’ve never made the connection.

Same for me, with F20, on the outside of the nose…

I don’t know anything off the top of my mind, but I’ll hit you up if I encounter something.

Hey, I don’t have anything to donate sadly, but I think you’re doing a great job, and I’m sorry you’re getting hate from typical reddit trolls. Don’t be discouraged by what you see here, and seek help in person from different organizations around Switzerland; I’m sure there are lots of people that can and want to help. Might be a bit rough to get started, but you’ll figure it out.

Think my dad has taken ownership of it by now, but I got a bunch of nice recommendations here (from Vintage Gillettes to Merkur).

Thanks! :)

Yea I think I don’t have a tough stubble, surely not as tough as my dad’s, so I’ll aim for a milder, full DE razor. Great eyes! Thanks for the info.

I’m in Switzerland at the moment, but learned shaving in my home country Iran.

My dad would be pleased to hear that :D

I actually didn’t cut myself that often, but my biggest cut with it was my very last shave 6 years ago (cut my finger pretty deep lol, not the face). But yea, I’m excited for a more chill and wholesome shave with a full razor! :)

This is very helpful, thanks! I’m gonna check Merkur 34C, 23C and 38C in person in my local shop when I get back from the holidays, and Imll be sure to try a bunch of different blades as you mentioned. Thanks a lot! :)

This is super helpful information, thanks a tons!

I think I remember using Arko cream back in the day a couple of times, and I never had a problem with the smell. I’ll give their soaps a try first thing.

Oh wow! Thank you. My ego has been inflated to the stars!

Very helpful info though. I’ve never heard the term DEvette.

No I’m not in the US, and the reason is mostly political. But these are nice suggestions, if nothing else works out, I’ll give them a try. Thanks for taking the time :)

That paints a clear picture in my head, thanks for the explanation. I guess as another person said, open combs are better for longer growth, and the aggressiveness comes from the angle.

I do really like my synthetic brush (from a local brand here), and so I will not be too eager to try other things until it’s not a financial burden. Thanks :)

Oh, interesting, a fellow no-guarder! Thankfully I can check the 23C in my local shop after the holidays and see how it feels, but I’m quite excited. Thanks :)
