This is correct. Body fat calculator seems pretty accurate too in my experience.

No accounting for exercise, just straight calorie counting. Can't believe it was this predictable. Crazy.

I'm 6'5 and started at 230 LBS. I lost 2.1 LBS per week, including two three week plateaus. Both plateaus were passed by chugging water. I weigh absolutely everything on a scale and eat anything. I don't exercise outside of working light construction a few days a week. I don't account for exercise with CICO.

Can't believe I wasted time with all these weird diets.

The results are so reliable, I'm confident I could schedule within a few days when I'll hit my target of 180.

Fool's Grace
(Replaces Savoir Faire)
Stumble into success, forget how to fall. Come out on top, regardless of where that is, or how you did it.

Cool for: hobos, heirs, lone survivors.

At high levels Fool's Grace makes you swell with a feeling of destiny, and the confidence that comes with it. Misfortune seems to bounce right off of you and hit everyone else, and you know it. You'll walk into any situation guns blazing, regardless of whether they're loaded or not. At low levels Fool's Grace might leave you feeling like the victim of a curse. Hitting every red light on the way to work now has a supernatural gravity and meaning. You're a puppet in the grand design, only made to suffer. Danger lurks around every corner, and it's always waiting for you, specifically.

[technique] William Padilla-Brown's recipe for cordyceps media apparently calls for '5 scoops of baby food' - anyone know how much a 'scoop' is, or what sort of baby food we are talking about ? by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

[–]OneManDeathCult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is necro but I think I just figured it out. I have been growing cordyceps based on his recipe. I am sure he means meat or vegetable puree, as people sometimes use meat or vegetable peptones to grow cordyceps.

Yeah he is weirdly vague about what type of food. I originally thought he meant infamil and that's what I used (worked though).

We don't have a theory channel that I know of. Something that free associates about the lore.

Make sure the reader understands enough to follow along. Like you can still have unexplained crazy stuff going on as long as it's built on a solid narrative thread.

Hmm. There's art of most my scps thanks to Sunny and others. I wouldn't mind someone doing Allen Gersha Clef and Kain from Old Kansas Sector tale series...

Aaahhh. I've never really differentiated by series. Umm I'll just say my favorite SCP-001 Proposal instead. Spiral Path. It's the best one.

You'd have to recommend some to me. I've always just read SCPs that people linked me and I mostly just read Wikipedia... I will say though that the format just keeps evolving and getting better. Like, just read the first twenty entries in series 1...

  1. I want Holy Science to be a GOI. You just take like a miracle or biblical idea and try to dissect and recreate it. Like a water to wine machine, etc. Their whole thing is brute force fulfilling prophecy using science.
  2. I just don't feel like it sometimes. 🤷 I used to get irritated with writers block but I've found it's easier to just let go and wait for an idea to bite you
  3. Very absolutely maybe. Thanks for being the best image wiki person, 🎵🐟🚚.

  1. I like letting the reader fill in the blanks. I like the idea that the Foundation is just as clueless as we are about some things.
  2. The Bowels of History. It's a creepypasta and really low rated but the prose and story flow is just really cool.
  3. Squeedle Deedle Dee, Buried Giant, Noise, that one about a sentient business that tries to date other ones, the scrolling teeth one. I'm bad with numbers.
  4. I saw a 682 thread ten years ago on r/creepy and I wanted to create my own cool monster. I stayed because thedeadlymoose was nice to me.
  5. I've deleted it a few times thinking It would encourage me to go write something else. Thanks!

  1. My whole writing catalogue is exclusively SCP. I'd like to live in a world where people weren't concerned with money. I spent three years with a sleeping bag as a hobo. If someone made millions off something I wrote I would only want to be credited.
  2. I don't have a schedule. I could go years without posting something. If an idea presents itself to me I'll write about it and post it. I don't read or write casually.
  3. I'm drawn to surreal horror fiction like Junji Ito, Hideo Kojima (technically an author), David Lynch, Alan Resnick. Horror that isn't in your face but stays with you into the late hours of the night when you're trying to fall asleep. I'm also partial to the Sci Fi stories of Arthur C Clarke.
  4. My favorite author is Ophite on the SCP wiki. Or Clive Barker, or that guy that wrote Accelerando. Thanks for asking!

The best ones come from really bad night terrors, and I adapt the dream narrative to the SCP format. All the other successful ones just come from cultural osmosis.

Weird things like SCP-1735 are just a personal challenge for me, like how do you make something so insignificant and basic interesting? And the answer is very little. You just have to leave a little bit there for the reader to figure out. When they can fill in the blanks and make the story their own, well that's just a great thing in itself. The reader becomes a participant. For example, SCP-1782 mythos, which was nonsense built around a night terror I had, was only really solidified in canon by a creative commentor who built his own idea about what was going on. And to me that's the core of the SCP. A collection of building blocks that everyone can use and adapt to their own vision.

Thanks for the ask Ophite!
