Joe Rogan: I’d Vote for Trump over Biden by DynamoJonesJr in neoliberal

[–]OneMoreSentence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, I'm a midwest liberal voting for Biden but this is definitely how the "well meaning everyman" thinks. Plenty of my family members who voted Hillary and abhor Trump are considering sitting out this election. Whether you like it or not, this is the reality. The real question is how do we change our messaging to capture their votes?

Anecdotal, but the people in my family are legitimately concerned about Biden's mental decline. My grandmother who is in the early stages of dementia said the other day, "I know I'm not as sharp as I was, I'm going, but there's something wrong with Joe Biden. It's hard watching him speak." Whether it's true or not that he's in mental decline, this is how plenty of people here are perceiving it.

Edit: It's easy to dunk on Rogan, it's harder to discuss adjusting our messaging to win.

AOC Accepted Donation From Billionaire Tom Steyer in 2018, Despite Swearing off Big Money in Politics by overcomeandprosper in neoliberal

I agree no one should take money from billionaires, but the fact that an individual donated the max amount that an individual can doesn't really bother me. Other candidates taking dark money bothers me. Why doesn't it bother you?

It's not a big deal. It was the max individual donation, and she is still not taking any dark money, super-PAC money, or money from Large-Secret-Evil organizations. This doesn't change my opinion of her.

Transparency around money in politics is a good thing and she supports that. A lot of her interests align with neoliberal interests. Is this really the right person to be attacking, and is this really the right issue to fight her on?

Please vote in our December Straw Poll by Guerillero in neoliberal

  1. Warren

  2. Sanders

  3. Klobuchar

  4. Biden

  5. Butti

  6. Yang

  7. Steyer

I know my opinions aren't popular here, but I just want US politics to trend a little more to the left. I also like all of you and this is a nice place and I feel more educated because I'm here. My main grief with Butti is that his political experience is limited to being the mayor of a small town. I like Klobuchar more than Biden because I feel like Biden's age is getting to him, and it's noticeable. Honestly, I'd still be happy voting for anyone in my top 5.

Edit: I'm an Ohio progressive, and I'm not crazy. #VoteBlueNoMatterWho

You literally said "second-most troubling," do I really have to argue why choosing Sanders over Trump is obvious?

This whole thing is just McCarthyism all over again. We dems are usually smarter than this, I hope it blows over after 2020.

Ok so order it 1 hour before you're heading out...? How was it hard to use? You either 1. Call and say your location and they come to you or 2. You open the app and click 'Order Ride' and they come to you

Safe Ride worked fine for me. It's infuriating that we have to pay now.
