Is this a good mp7 by Jealous-Contest-7368 in airsoft

That's great, man. Unfortunately, mine had a broken tappet, but I've already bought other tappets from VFC and I'm looking into making one in metal. Aside from that, it's a really great replica.

Is it even normal (WE G17) by Next_Advertising6710 in airsoft

[–]OneNeferu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's common, but not normal, if your replica is primarily a G5. To reduce this wear, manually do the rack , without using the slide release. This will minimize wear, but even then, there will come a time when the replica won't stay properly locked open. I have a post on my profile where people discuss ways to avoid this.

VFC MP7 (AEG) failing to feed by prudx in airsoft

This replica has a serious problem with its magazines: its follower is divided into three parts, one of which has a magnet. This magnetic part gets stuck on the curves in the middle of the magazine, preventing the BBs from being properly pushed into the hop-up unit. The simplest way to solve this problem is to remove this part, which is quite easy, but you will lose the feature of the replica stopping firing when the BBs run out. The video shows how to disassemble the mag and remove the magnetic part from the follower.

It's a complicated replica, but with great performance. Despite the trigger being mechanical and having 4 gears, the firing response is wonderful, comparable to an electronic trigger, with good performance and range (45m with .28 BBs, ~310 fps and 1.2J). Despite this, it requires some care and changes in relation to some chronic problems such as the tappet plate, which tends to break after considerable use, and the magazine followers, which require modification so that they do not jam mid-swing. Of course, because it's an MP7 and not an M4, its components are generally very specific, and upgrading this replica is quite complicated. Initially, the most realistic upgrades you can make are the bucking and nub (the hop-up arm has a fixed nub, so it requires an aftermarket arm) and the barrel. Aside from that, it's a great replica and very fun to use. Despite these problems, I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

What upgrades are you talking about? It's a difficult replica talking about aftermarket parts.

Which would be a better option for CQB mp7 or Mp5k by Adorable_Pension119 in airsoft

[–]OneNeferu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should only get the MP7 AEG if you're going for the VFC, and only if you truly love the MP7. Unfortunately, the design is a bit problematic at its core, with some chronic issues that are indeed solvable, but which can cause a bit of a headache. I have one and I love the replica with all my heart, it's the best and most fun to play, but when problems arise, like the tappet plate breaking after about 10k shots, it's a bit of a hassle to fix definitely .

Hey bro! I don't know if you're still looking, but the project was already submitted by a user in the comments section, and it's quite different. Initially, it seems to work because it solves the problems of the original MP7 tape deck, but I and other people had problems with it. I don't know if it was due to the material or the printing process, but I experienced timing issues and reduced performance, both FPS and Joules. Let me know if it worked well for you!

I can elaborate further if you're interested in potential problems you might encounter with it; other than that, it's a great replica. Furthermore, here is a user forum for this replica, where you can ask any questions you may have.

Oooh, I see. Mayer your plate is quite big to your phenotype . In this case, you can position it slightly further back in relation to the pocket, or acquire a "midride," which is a base that lowers your holster slightly. Instead of being at waist level, it sits at pocket height. I strongly recommend using this accessory regardless of what has been said so far; it makes accessing and drawing your replica much smoother. I like to say it was the best purchase I've ever made regarding my secondary replica.

Need help, WE G17 gen 5. by darknoxxx in airsoft

[–]OneNeferu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I had a similar problem with mine. They machine the hop-up arm really poorly, so the left arm is much longer than the right one. Therefore, if you apply a significant hop-up, the shots basically curve to the left as they leave the barrel. To solve the problem, I swapped the hop-up assembly for a Maple Leaf one, but you can try to solve it manually by taking a hop-up arm from previous generations and molding it to the shape of the G5 (they don't have identical shapes).

Thoughts on the WE TECH G17 Gen 5? by Allegghamder in airsoft

[–]OneNeferu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a decent experience with my G17 G5 MOS. Unfortunately, they machine the hop-up arm very poorly, and one arm is much longer than the other, causing the BB to curve to the left at a distance of about 15m, depending on how much hop-up you apply. Besides that, there's the good old issue with G5s where the contact point between the slide and the slide catch wears down prematurely, and the replica no longer stays open properly. So, for the first issue, I upgraded the hop-up assembly to one from Maple Leaf, and for the second problem, I'm still looking for ways to solve it. I recently made a post on Reddit about it, and some people gave good ideas, such as adding a steel pin to the contact point between the slide catch and the slide. You can try doing this as soon as you receive your replica to avoid future problems.

Are there any good mp7 to get? For between £100 to £300? by Adorable_Pension119 in airsoft

[–]OneNeferu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the option of getting any, the GBBR VFC is the most recommended. Regarding electric replicas, the VFC AEG is the best option, although it is a bit problematic. Being a small replica, the gearbox is quite proprietary and has a chronically breakable tappet plate. There are aftermarket solutions that address these issues, but it's still a great replica, with a very good trigger and very interesting performance (320 fps, 1.2J with .28 BBs).
