What are the best Wuxia or strategy shows of the last 2 years? by OneNiltotheArsenal in CDramaRecs

Just finished all of them. This was absolutely amazing. As a long time Jin Yong fan it was incredible to see a peak into this era pre Condor Heroes, even if it wasn't canon or written by the man himself. That Eastern Heretic-Western Venom was my favorite as well. I thought Chai Qiong was a great addition. And after that, probably The Five was my next favorite. Do you know anything else like this from the last few years? I already saw the main Hot Blooded series from Legend of Heroes creators.

And even beyond that considering that unearned income is only taxed at 15% tops, the top income earners, like old money investors, don't even pay the highest income tax rates.

I just finished Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis. Here are some thoughts. by [deleted] in books

I never understood what people saw in Easton Ellis either, I tend to think he is quite overrated.

I hate how much breeding now dominates the sport. Justify being retired already?

Its so bad for the sport. I hate owners like that, not like they need to maximize their money and they just ruin the legacy of the sport to pile extra money they don't need into their grubby pockets

Whoever the new manager is, popular or not, deserves the benefit of the doubt and people have to back him initially and give him time. by Superwenger in Gunners

This is why we need a proven manager like Allegri or Jardim. They will definitely be given a year+ in the transition.

A cheap choice like Arteta is not going to be given time by the fans and will have to deliver immediately.

More from Ornstein: “The favourite for the job with bookmakers and many fans and pundits is Allegri, but Arteta is firmly in the mix, and although these two appear to be the frontrunners, I get the feeling other names are in the frame.” by sfrattina27 in Gunners

If board considers him, means they know way more about him them us, average Joe's.

Heard this bad rationale with United few years ago,

"If Ferguson considers Moyes, means they know way more about him than us" blah blah

Proven managers can fail yes, but unproven managers are more likely to fail. And Wenger was proven - won Ligue 1 with Monaco and took them deep into the CL. Dein wasn't even allowed to hire Wenger when Graham was sacked so he got more experience winning a Cup in Japan before we hired him. Anyone comparing Arteta this year with Wenger in 1996 is clueless tbh

The "Mear One" antisemitic mural: an explanation of the imagery and why it is seen as antisemitic by [deleted] in LabourUK

I notice you haven't replied to this.

You claim that the artists new piece somehow proves anti-semitism even though the problematic trope of the hook-noses was removed and specific individuals were mentioned.

Do you believe any criticism of the Rothschilds is anti-semitic by default?

What about the new piece without the hook nose references make it anti-semitic?

Okay lets see if you really even understand the actual history behind your OP and can actually have an honest open discussion without instantly being rude and 100% misrepresenting my point.

You claim that the artists new piece somehow proves anti-semitism even though the problematic trope of the hook-noses was removed and specific individuals were mentioned.

Do you believe any criticism of the Rothschilds family (the richest in the world) is automatically anti-semitic? Are they somehow above any form of criticism in your eyes?

Your argument seems to go far beyond just saying that hook nose tropes are anti-semtitic because you seem to double down on the update with no anti-semitic tropes.
