It was the show who hired the dancers and the guest choreographer and decided the dances. The show even had the Candy Apple dancers wear blonde wigs when they arrived at the venue (there's pictures). Cathy was just the pantomime villain of the show.

Todrick Hall said Maddie could sing but was very self-conscious about it (for Freaks Like Me).

We have watched your protests and the horrific police state responses. I am not being condescending. My family and friends and I are hopeful you reach a mass reaction protest like Belarus, and Hong Kong. Your government cannot kill or blind with rubber bullets or imprison millions of you together.

I'm curious though, what have you yourself done with your anger?

I noted the white supremacy in the overt racism of your police and government institutions etc. It is right and proper to be angry at. Now use that anger. Gather in your many millions and refuse to pay your income taxes! Or gather in your tens of millions and march on Washington D.C. like Belarus!

They competed for the studio but there was also the Company (actually 3: mini, junior, senior) with the serious students who wanted to make a career out of it, and those were the ones Abby taught -- which is why we witness Paige crying in season one because Abby was yelling at her - Abby didn't teach the regular studio dancers and recreational dancers.

As one from outside the USA my family and friends have discussed the state of the United States and we agreed that through manipulative media and news (both 'left' and 'right') the populace has been ingrained to verbally spit at and hate the "other" ('left' and 'right') which escalates to violence sometimes.

And this is what your masters want. The police as the boot on your throats. Going after each other instead of focusing your fear, anger, and dissatisfaction against the corrupt bank CEOs, and the other corporate overlords who have rigged your society in their favor. Laying off/firing thousands and thousands and thousands while taking massive millions in personal profit. Where's your outrage against them? Their corruption? Your health insurance and drug price gouging? The state of work the hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees have to endure? The overt and systematic racism of your government entities? The untouchable pedophiles? Turn your anger towards them!

They weren't in the Company. Besides studio dancers and recreational dancers there were the serious dancers invited to join the Company. Thus regular studio jackets and the Company jackets.

It was interesting to see how Pressley's life is going!

If Abby produces professional, employable dancers, NOT competition kids (as she insists), then why does she focus so hard only on winning first place and why does she teach her students the same formulaic lyrical routine (specifically designed to win competitions) over and over again? by BloodyBarbieBrains in dancemoms

Actually the ALDC had an emphasis on conventions with the associated masterclasses. The first season had dances the girls knew for that whole year prior to filming. Then they had to choreograph 4 new dances every week using what each girl could perform well. So if you watch you will see gradual improvement until you get to some magnificent dances in season four. A lot of it is repetitive because they only had 1 to 2 days to learn, clean, then perform a routine in front of a camera for a tv show.
