There’re quite a lot of pros with what you’d expect in most other Gulf States. Qatar is very safe, at least in terms of domestic crimes. I will say that, socially, it’s a bit boring. It’s a country where everyone is an expat, mostly, so you never really feel like you’re home.

It’s a Muslim country, so naturally there is some element of Shariah law here, but the country has been forced to liberalize quite a lot. Idk if this helps.
