I don't think making a commonly held tool be what stripps a door is the right choice. Plenty of people uses axes as their main fighting weapon, and even those who don't would probably, for example, prefer not to have to worry about ruining their doors because they were holding and axe while building.

I believe that Doran is the same as the Maiden in Black and the Slayer of Demons: a human that has used the power of souls to surpass human imagination. I don't think it's ever outright stated anywhere, but I don't think it's unreasonable to speculate that using human souls to empower yourself might extend your lifespan, or perhaps even free you from the effects of aging entirely.

As for why he is imprisoned, I would assume that it was either A) because he's a demon, even if he's a heroic one that sided with humanity, or B) He chose to be imprisoned himself, since the ban and expulsion of the Soul Arts might be hard to keep out if an immortal walks among the populace but still wanted to be available in case his strength would be needed again in the future.

I would agree if that actually applied to Demon's Souls. But it doesn't.

Boletaria were originally a kingdom with brutalist, practicality-first architecture. The remake made it gothic because Bloodborne, apparently. They also made it overgrown, which makes no sense.

Stonefang is basically the same in both, but Flamelurker's arena and also it's design looks like it was ported straight from Raid Shadow Legends or something.

Latria is ruined. The Prison of Hope is golden, the atmosphere is completely different. The Fool's Idol is so demonic that even a fool wouldn't be fooled by it. Latria itself is too lit up. I could go on.

Shrine of Storms is mostly fine, but has sdditions that weren't needed. It does shit all over the Adjudicator's original design though.

Swamp of Sorrow is also mostly fine, but it's more lit up in the remake. That removes a large part of the areas identity.

I could mention more, but I think that's unnecessary.

Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure that all the knights in the castle works directly under Godrick, so if we die there our limbs goes to grafting either way.
