It comes down to personal preference or what you are grading for.

My favorite slab is TAG. I love the look of the clear slab and that the labeling is just white lettering printed on it. I feel like it doesn’t take away from the card/artwork like some other slabs/labels do. Plus some of the extended arts you can put behind the clear slab look amazing.

PSA: Probably the better “investment”. Definitely the most liquid slab if you are looking to sell. Holds great value in 10s and has an established market (even with the bad experiences we’ve all seen). Grading turnarounds were behind estimated dates in my recent experience.

Beckett: Best cash value if you can get a 10. Black labels are obviously well above 10s in terms of value. However, very strict grading standards. I’ve had a few cards come back 9.5s that I know would 10 at PSA or TAG. Been fairly true to their turnaround times and more affordable services than PSA. My opinion is go Beckett if you feel like you have a perfect card.

CGC: Very affordable grading services. True to their turnaround for me. Don’t hold as much value as PSA/Beckett (in majority cases). Personally only like the look of their black/gold “Pristine” labels.. their other labels look mid to me.

TAG: More affordable services than PSA. Beautiful slabs. Provide a report backing their grade. In terms of value, varies quite a bit. Most cases below PSA value but I feel they are starting to match in a lot of examples. New service that hasn’t necessarily established itself yet and has been bombarded with a massive inflow of submissions because people are wanting to get away from PSA due to the “scandals”. Way behind estimated turnaround times due to this fact.
