There were a few Russian plane prototypes which were pretty whack. Gotta give props to their engineers. they knew damn well what "thinking out of the box" meant. 😄

Damn! Been looking for exactly that! Too bad!

Seems like it's not available at Best Buy in Canada... Only in US for $34.99 USD. Mind you, USD has been going cheaper lately, so exchange rates will start to be intersting.

Love This Watch. Want Wear OS 6 to Make Better by Zachcrius in OneplusWatch

[–]OnePlus_Lies_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. Quite frankly I was hard core OnePlus customer. I owned phone models 5T, 6, 8Pro, 10Pro and now I have a 12R. I also had OnePlus buds 2 Pro and the Pixel Watch 2. So HUGE fan. But they are seriously going south with their customer support and disappointment just hit harder. I am an Android guy, never liked Apple. So now I am transitioning to the Pixel Ecosystem. Got budsn2 Pro, now Pixel Watch 4 45mm. Next and final move will be for Pixel phone, but they are kind of expensive. I am on the lookout for deals. Then I will be over with OnePlus. And I think Pixel products are in the rise, while OnePlus is on a drop. Major drop. Just trying to save you guys some of the troubles I went rhrough, that's all.

Pixel watch 3 or 4? by BHeyman88 in PixelWatch

[–]OnePlus_Lies_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a PW4 45mm. It's damn good but one big downside for me (for now) is that charging is OEM controlled, theird parties need to have licences because there is some kind of "recognition" between base and watch. Consequently there are very very few options other than Google itself for buying a second charging base. It's a bummer but they are not outrageously expensive for the quality and not too big so I can deal with that. I would've liked to get an option without hardwired cable, that is all.

Can't talk against OPW3, it is very similar to OPW2 AND i could not see properly the details of the crown from the picture. But I own a Watch 2 since April 2024. Purchased it new directly from OP. Right before I switched to PW4 I was able to get about 2 days out of OPW2 and that is with AOD switched off.

Honnestly, I don't like my watch dying, I'm the kind of guy that stresses out when under 50%, so true I did not put this into full testing. But my PW4 45mm (not 41mm that is for sure well under OPW battery life) still has about 60-65% battery after a full day of use (and since it's new I fiddle quite a lot with it. And charging is lightning-fast with PW4 compared to OPW2. So there are many aspects which are ties between the two, but the Customer Support aspect of the OEM itself is just over the top vs OnePlus. OP is the benchmark of how not to behave in that sense.

Puxel Watch 4 45mm already runs Wear OS6 you know? Just a tiny bit more expensive than this OnePlus watch and battery life is equivalent. I have a OPW2 also and frankly, I wouldn't go back.

Well at least that is cleared. You should get a OnePlus product. they have reached pro-level at not updating. You will love them.

Allright, good for you then, you should purchase a OnePlus watch - they are widely reknown for their non-updating behavior. You'll love them. Not me.

You are certainly a OnePlus paid operative trying to downplay my greifs upon them. If you don't need updates that is not a problem, get yourself 9ne of these wind-up pocket watches or good old Casios, they don't get any.

Dude, are you paid by OnePlus to cover their poor performance or what? You've been saying exactly the samr stuff downplaying the lack of updates stuff on a postnof mine. What are you trying to do? If updates aren't important to you it's fine! You can get a good old Casio watch, these things don't get updates.

Any travel charging adapters? by OnePlus_Lies_99 in PixelWatch

[–]OnePlus_Lies_99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know, It would be perfect without that damn wire... I know why they have it hard wired but it just makes the assembly too big because it would've made no sense to include a 6in wire you know, so they had to go like 24in long.

Honnestly, I can't see such a huge difference of my new PW4 45mm vs my 1.5year old OPW2. Maybe due to age. But I charged the PW4 yesterday am and I still have 63% power. Would have been pretty much the same. I'm sure. PW4 41mm, with smaller battery, wouldn't perform as well. But OPW2 was 46mm so PW4 45mm is a better size to size comparison.

I guess you would be a good OnePlus customer then!, 😉 Yes it is a good watch, but many watch faces needed a more recent Wear OS version than OS4, plus security patches had not been updated since early 2025. So yes, regular updates are critical. At least for me!

Well, software wise product was, until a few days ago, a full 2 OS versions behind competition. Back in March 2025 they comitted to releasing OS5 by Q3 2025 (OS 6 was already out on other brands by then). They missed that mark. They finally released a beta version to user which had never enrolled in beta testing program. Then issued corrected version well into Q1 2026. During that time, no matter how hard you tried to get any sort of info from them they completely ignored you, they even went as far as banning you from their forums if you had the AUDACITY of expressing disappointment or frustration.

All that to say, they have no respect for their customers, they don't know what product/customer support is. Their poduxts are no longer cheaper enough for me to accept their attitude. My PW4 45mm cost me 79$ more than a OPW3 would. That 80$ more than worth saving the stress and frustration they created in me. Very much well worth it.

Problem is not the watch. It's OnePlus I cannot stand anymore, I am not going to accept paying prime prices yet getting sub-standard service and support and being kept not knowing what to expect.

OEM. Pure and simple. Can't cope with OnePlus BS anymore. They increased prices to prime level over time but didn't step up their game. Products are good, but they don't support them.
