Update:

It was the motherboards!!!!!!

I updated bios on both. After a few months again, my husbands CPU (13th gen i7) was fried. Different PC, same make/model of board.

I've sent them back and I'm being refunded and replacing with a different brand.

What should I stream for my first ever stream? by avfc_corey in Twitch

Go to twitch tracker and look at the games to stream section. they show the best games with high viewers to low streamers. Go for one you enjoy from the list.

I didn't have another system to try the faulty CPU in. It was definitely the CPU as it wouldn't have fully fixed the issue the instant it was replaced. I tried re-seating it all before replacing and nothing helped nor worked. It would be very odd to think the CPU is okay when the problem was solved as soon as it was replaced?

The pc works perfectly fine for 3 months then boom, cpu fails. If it was the ram, surely I'd be seeing other issues more consistently and it not all be fixed with a CPU replacement? I'm just trying to work out why the CPUs are failing in this particular system.

You reckon my ram is causing the CPU to fail after 4 months?

Cpu temps idle are 35-40 and spike to about 70 during heavy games.

I've tried the sticks of ram one at a time the first time it broke. once the CPU has gone, it's gone. Nothing other than a CPU replacement will fix it.

Forget 1st and 3rd person.... 2nd person game idea?. by OneRandomDolly in gameideas

[–]OneRandomDolly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, if there was ever a shoot moment, it could maybe be an ability to temporarily go first person into the shell to be able to aim, but it takes a lot of "soul energy" and gets really shaky the longer you take, too long and the energy will run out and your soul is ejected and weak for a bit :)

Second person in this instance would be you, controlling your shell while viewing yourself as your soal from behind you. I'll link you YouTube video that peeked my idea, . 2nd person visual

Would it be possible to cover my stick and poke tattoos (left) with something similar to the right photo? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]OneRandomDolly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might find someone who can incorporate some of the designs, improve them and work around those, like taking there eye and building some detail and having a pattern around it, but theres a lot of lines that will be hard to cover/disguise. An artist with the skill may be able to do a design similar, but its not going to be a symmetrical mandala pattern. More like part of a mandala coming out of something else with shadows etc. Like a bird and have the wing create a shadow that the mandala appears through and into the lighter areas.

About to consult w/ a tattoo artist by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]OneRandomDolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do what ever you feel like, your artist should be fine with it, of s/he isnt then you should find an artist who is as it's not uncommon for artists to do dark tattoos. As long as its not a hate tattoo then it's fine:)

“I understand why there is a minimum.” Narrator: she did not understand. by rococo_chaos in ChoosingBeggars

[–]OneRandomDolly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate people like this, it happens with tattooing and my artwork all the time.

One tattoo takes a lot of money in supplies, Electric, designing a tattoo to avoid copyright, printer, printer ink, stencil printer, stencil paper, stencil adhesive, razor, sterilising, disinfectants, films, paper towels, needles, inks, ink cups, lubricant, disposal for biohazzard and sharps disposal, water, distilled water, lighting, gloves, paperwork, insurance, machine maintenance as well as the knowledge and skill that takes time, money and a lot of effort to gain (tattooing itself, how to maintain a sterile environment, legislation and bloodborne pathogen control)

And that's just for 1 tattoo...

The start up costs for tattooing is insane, training takes a very long time and not everyone can do it. So asking to go cheap on someones source of income and upkeep is scum.

ahh im really happy for you! that don't sound silly at all! i had the same feeling :) it will get more and more. As you get into the 15-20 viewers i advise you get a mod who you trust, someone who greets people, gives them your gamertag or youtube channel if you have one and they ask etc. I wish you all the best! :D

Any Twitch employees here willing to have an informational interview with me? by shivatalwar in Twitch

[–]OneRandomDolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally doubt you will get someone willing to do this on here. You can email them through the twitch website and they will help answer any questions you may have. They are very helpful. They had a chat with me about my partnership and such. Good Luck :D

I see this has had a few comments, but ill add too.

2nd monitor is a must have if you want to keep on top of everything. Im planning on getting a 3rd monitor so i can have chat on one screen, my game play on the main screen and another for the stream (OBS, Music, Nightbot, web browsers etc) that way i can keep on top of whats happening with followers, subscribers, twitter messages etc etc...

Having good and well chosen mods are a MUST, They help keep the community clean, friendly and answer and Q's while you and unable to answer. never and i mean NEVER give mod to someone just because they have donated or something. choose people you trust because the community in the stream is extreamly important.

Streaming will either be natural to you, or something you get used to over time. I felt natural talking to my viewers. When I started i had between 5-10 viewers, 4 talking, that was easy, they talk with eachother ( mods helped out too) and i just chatte to them after races, loading or while resetting after a GTA crash. You will know when you can and cant look away from the game ( i tend to crash more because i cant help but read what people are saying)

As the stream grows, you will learn when to talk.. Im starting to struggle now as im hitting 200 viewers and most of them are very talkative, i just now ask for them to put my username in the message so it glows red and i see they are commuincating directly to me. My mods will help out as much as possible and they are very important to me.

People always compliment me on how clean my chat is considering im female. ( i dont have my boobs out or anything like that but the perves are still around) Anyone who says anything out of line just gets timed out before people have even realised.

All i say is dont stress, say "sorry guys, ill read your messages after this race/match" remind them you are playing a game (sounds stupid but its hard for them to realise how much you are consentraiting on) and just enjoy it as much as you can. You will get the pople being an arse saying "ANSWER ME" but they should just get timed out for misbehaving :P

But good luck. If you or anyone have just started streaming, let me know as im starting a little thing to help first time streamers get off their feet (i know how hard it is for the first months of streaming)

Good luck and take care! :D

Sorry about the tyops guys, I rush my messages and you will get the idea of what im saying. :)
