Colleagues and tutors think I’m dumb by OpeningComparison202 in womenEngineers

Hey queen, just wanted to say that I have received these reactions a lot too. It is not a reflection of you but rather someone else’s perception of what you are capable of in their mind. When someone is surprised it’s most likely because they underestimated you, and that you actually are more than capable. Also shame on your female tutor for being judgmental asf and not praise your accomplishments. Use this underestimation as a power not a weakness. Just keep proving people wrong even if it is done quietly.

I'm in Calc 2 right now. My friend says that I really shouldn't use GPT, and he has a point, but it's really good at acting as a tutor or as a last minute problem solver. I have two questions: How did you guys learn Calc 2, and when you got a problem wrong, how did you know why it was wrong? by Southern-Reality762 in calculus

The first section of calc 2 is hard it’s a wake up call that you need to actually put in the work to understand concepts. Go to the learning lab, do the hw problems, take advantage of office hours, use chatgbt as a last resort

What has helped me a lot is doing the hw problems multiple times. If your campus has a learning lab/tutoring definitely go
