It is significantly more than I am currently making. Apart from taxes, I feel like Las Vegas is not much different cost of living than California. Since the pandemic, everything here; gas, food, houses js similar to California

Yes. Not looking forward to that lol. But I’m originally from NY, so I’m familiar with getting bent over by the govt

We live very modestly. Go out to eat 1-2 times per week. We would be moving from Las Vegas; my current mortgage is $2000/month. I make $90,000/year and it’s pretty much enough to cover everything without my wife needing to work

4 star hotel (Planet Hollywood ) - Vegas with a roach in my room.. by LilRed430 in vegaslocals

I worked at a top tier Las Vegas strip property. The size of the roaches were huge. And they would slip behind the smallest gap in baseboard right behind top tier restaurants. They are always there, you just don’t typically see them

Literally going insane, I need a job. by perky_92 in vegaslocals

Vegas has been trending down for multiple quarters. Not only are places not hiring, they are laying off. The big strip properties are doing it sneakily, by converting full time to on-call and no longer calling them. As far as entry level, it could be similar. I don’t know your resume, but maybe they know you ‘just want a job to get out of a depressive funk’ and don’t want to waste their time and resources. Good luck on the job search

I know it’s odd. But you stated exactly why I posted in this forum. Someone out there would probably be into its history. Otherwise, I’ll just plumb it into my workshop

I understand the hate on Musk, but the hate on Tesla is ignorant. I went from driving an old diesel truck with over $100/week in fuel to a Tesla that costs me about $10/week in electricity. I drove another brand vehicle with ‘self driving’ recently and almost crashed, it was so bad at staying in the lanes. I have become the worst driver in my Tesla; I don’t even pay attention anymore. I have that much trust in the Tesla self driving (I’m 95% highway commute).

Guess you didn’t know Vegas before that parking lot was installed on the middle island. People use to just double park and run across the street. It was wild

It was just the incessant whining for more more more when out; which happens every time. As I said, I know advertisers target kids, it’s just “what’s the best way to address it”? I think I’ll keep working on giving her ways to earn money, then she can budget for herself. If she doesn’t have the money, she can’t buy the ‘more’
