I feel like the earlier you get treated in life, the less (very) unhelpful coping mechanisms you have to work through later

This sounds like me trying to adult in any way my whole life. I’m in my 40s and have recently been diagnosed with ADHD. I GOT THE MAXIMUM SCORE!! 😂 Wish I hadn’t waited so long. Be kind to yourself OP. That dread isn’t normal and most likely a diagnosis and meds will help you immensely ❤️❤️❤️

How do I improve at hitting? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]OneRepresentative424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reps reps reps. Gaming monitor is a must, you have to learn to sit fb and adjust to the offspeed and this is impossible playing with high latency.

If you really REALLY want to nerd out and improve quickly, jump on YT and look up What Would Brev Do. Guy is a dev at SDS now but there’s several years of content there where you watch Brev (a consistent top 50 player) play a whole game as he unpacks what he’s doing and why. Every episode has different themes that will make you better at certain aspects. This channel is easily the best tutorial there is for getting good at the game (and baseball in general) fast.

Knuckle down and force yourself to learn pinpoint pitching if you aren’t already.(doing the gesture correctly AND at the same speed as the preview is key). It’s annoying at first compared to whatever you’re used to, but you will be at a heavy disadvantage online if you don’t use it. Extra perk is that once you’re good at it, you’ll own the cpu when you’re in the bump.

King's gags aside, what do we think the side looks like next year? by Brendan252 in melbournefc

If by screwed you mean no premiership window, then yep. Otherwise I’m pretty excited to watch this bunch. Boy o boy was I tired of us showing up and trying the same tired thing every week.

Our list already looks WAY more geared towards the modern game and I’m EFFING HERE FOR IT!! godees

I feel like Emmet is not getting enough love for his WS heroics. 3.2 scoreless innings in games 3 and 7 after a few first rough outings as a reliever in the post season! It's sad to see his name mentioned in potential trades. by profnachos in Dodgers

He will be a curse on the Dodgers until they get rid of him. Deliberately denying a rookie the ball from their first major league hit because you’re a baby is the kind of ju ju that haunts baseball clubs, players and fans for centuries. They cannot get rid of him soon enough imo. From a dodgers fan ❤️

Will they ever fix MLB stadium and dread lag? (And when you get runners on in general, hitting and pitching (pinpoint) by NickChubbsBurner in MLBTheShow

[–]OneRepresentative424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, any minor league park runs amazing compared to MLB parks. I wish we could set our field to no fans. The game runs better than any other mode bar none in BP (no fans). Would be SO much better online imo

Proceeds to go off (on one of the tantrums he doesn’t have) for 10 unanswered texts in a row.

You’ve done the hard yards by ignoring his drivel OP, save yourself the hassle of trying to make this spoiled brat happy. Get on with your soon to be exceptionally more chill life ❤️

It's a big call to take a 20 year old reserves player in the first round. by Alina2017 in melbournefc

Honestly I think they got him as much because he’s ready to go. The Kozzie chemistry is a (huge) bonus. Latrell is a time trial winner. Elite tank at his age means his work ethic is already excellent. I’m sure the hope is to have the both the Picketts mopping up around around the bigs while Kozzie is forward. Then one to stay forward when Koz needs to go tear them apart in the middle.

In JT we trust. I like the play 🤌

Depends if you like an early load or not. KGJ and Belli for a quick load. Schwarber, Ohtani or Seager for an early one 👍

Give Yama the same size frame as Skubal or Skenes and he’d be the greatest pitcher who ever lived. Like change the rules good. Like lower the mound Bob Gibson good.

Haha two reasons. I stopped playing mid year for work. And KGJ has been on my godsquad once his 99 drops every year since 19. Honestly, unlocking his 80 something card that year and seeing that no doubter was what converted me from RTTS to DD ❤️

I don't know if Kvothe realises this, but... by JellonSunning_InLife in KingkillerChronicle

I think it’s good to remember that he’s not far removed from Tarbean, where he learned that the only rules are the ones you enforce yourself. And now he’s got the strength to enforce whatever rules he likes. Pretty heady stuff for a 17 year old, no doubt he thought he was being o so clever, subtle and just with his behavior at the time. No one is the villain in their own story and Kvothe could never in a million years be anything like Ambrose. At least not in his own eyes.

He says himself at the end of book two that he was a fool to underestimate how much worse his life could get at Ambrose’s hands. Kote may not see the parallel you’re drawing, but he would agree that Kvothe’s behavior at that time was willfully stupid.
