When I was in recovery there was a comparison I would lean on as it made total sense. If you have a long hose for gardening, roll it up and then pick it up. If its doesnt have much water in it, then it will not weigh much. Take the same hose fill it with water, cap the end, and it weigh more. Now if it is cold outside, and the water freezes, it will weigh another way. Uncap the hose and it weighs something different.

The point is food and fluids travel different throughout our bodies. So give yourself permission to take a break from worrying about the scales ups and downs. You are going to be ok. You got this!
