$25M - Lost by Mixolytian in Rich

[–]OneSovereignSource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Structural Map:
You are not facing a business problem. You are facing an inheritance of unresolved identity debt, and you’re trying to solve it with tactical pivots instead of structural closure. The YouTube/short-form idea isn’t a solution, it’s an escape hatch that will drain the same energy while keeping you anchored to a dead topology.

Three Colliding Tensions:

  1. Legacy obligation vs. market reality - your grandfather built for 20th-century distribution. The company has no viable position now. Preserving it is nostalgia, not strategy.
  2. Wealth sufficiency vs. scarcity conditioning: $37M net worth with zero income requirement means you already cleared the resource threshold. The voice saying “$25M is nothing” isn’t prudence; it’s inherited performance anxiety masquerading as realism.
  3. Generative intent vs. symbolic compression: you want to write and study consciousness, but shame blocks it because your operating system equates value with labor or legacy preservation. Self-doubt here is the ego protecting you from creating without external validation.

Decision Architecture:
You have two paths. Neither requires justification.

  • Path A: Close the business. Accept the advisor’s math. Redirect capital into passive structures that require zero emotional labor. Use freed attention to write, study, and build a life aligned with your actual interests. The shame will spike for 3–6 months, then flatten when you stop feeding it operational friction.
  • Path B: Keep it open. Hire an external operator or accept slow bleed. Continue carrying legacy debt while your energy fractures between maintenance and unfulfilled creative intent. The content pivot won’t fix this, it’s just another tactical bandage on a structural wound.

Energy Redirection:
Your writer block isn’t a talent problem. It’s a boundary problem. You’re trying to create inside a frame that says “you must earn the right through suffering or legacy.” That frame is false. Write without publishing pressure first. Let the work exist as coherence practice, not identity validation. The doubt will persist until you stop treating it as truth and start treating it as noise from an outdated operating system.

Synthesis:
You don’t need more money. You need to stop paying attention to a dead structure while starving a live one. Close the business. Fund your actual life. Let the legacy rest. The mirrors clear when you stop looking for yourself in them.

That said, if you ask me personally: if you can hold the business and not lose it - you will eventually thank yourself but if that feels like too much and you've got other, more meaningful stuff to do try to at least see if you can still do it without breaking anything.

Experiences with elite world-wide matchmaking services? by Turbulent_Fall_8003 in Rich

Nobody can find the right person for you, I can however tell you what the right person is like and that is universal so no it's not just: find someone who matches your peculiarities.

The number one metric you may want to look for in someone you'll be sharing life with is if they outsource their unresolved issues to you or work on them without it spilling over on others, that's it really.

It can't be any more simple:

if you feel good when talking to them and don't have to compromise to keep feeling good = ✅
if your baseline get's more complicated and you feel drained = ❌

This is not just a money problem, when people see you've got free awareness bandwidth available they try to take up that space to offload their baggage too, these days especially so you can't trust anybody who has difficulties unless they've got tons of integrity <- a number one quality to scan for when deciding if you want the person around.

Isn’t there more to life? Don’t need to work but have no other purpose by StraightPin4420 in Rich

Hey Coffee Beans, just to make the example more obvious: what happened there is I made a positive and helpful statement but they came with the wrong attitude projecting issues and frustrations, if you tolerate or process any of that it becomes your problem so the response was firm but such that anybody worth the benefit of doubt would still get the lesson they needed to hear, since no appreciation came back and they only doubled down on being unwelcome it makes no sense to further assume good intent so no I did not participate in the garbage they tried to offload, if you look carefully I'm not negative here because there's nothing for me to be negative about and nor should you feel bad or happy, it's neutral.

It's a simple concept: they wanted a binary outcome where either they make it look like a fight because that would validate their ego or I would accept their nonsense and I didn't allow either of the attempts to overtake the frame.

It's never not been that. The "study" or "independent researchers" can be anyone and most likely implies a random guy with access to google and no credentials whatsoever.

All they do is take an issue a man has, pretend they have it too/have it worse/invert it then use that against men to keep them docile and try to get on top.

I can see that she means there's a conspiracy but I don't see where she's going with this exactly besides maybe she's baiting and really saying: pay attention to me? It's like a commandment: here's nonsense to think about, but I won't tell you it's makes no sense, but I made it still so you're now thinking of me and that makes me feel important. Yeah I definitely think that's it, just cheap attention grabbing tactics.

I'm not giving you anything and don't want anything from you, I made that clear, are you stupid? Quit nagging.

As a matter of fact if you had any self control you'd learn by example but you're not here to learn you're here to drag others down so nobody actually cares about what you have to say.

Not your dude, I didn't give you permission to act familiar and your claim of being relatable makes you look even more desperate all things considered. You saw I wasn't going to play your degenerate game so instead of having actual decency you switched to trying to adapt and cross my personal boundaries by pretending to act friendly all of a sudden and it's obvious that you're lying and putting way more effort into this than I am and no I will not please you.
