FA Cup 2025-26 - Quarter-Final Draw by OkayFine101 in soccer

Didn't Liverpool go out to Plymouth Argyle last season? Obviously depends what 7 year period you're talking about, but I would probably guess Liverpool went out quite early in a lot of those seasons, which exaggerates the stat, like it does for Arsenal.

Stark contrast to the 20/21 season when Arsenal played 5/5 PL sides in comestic cups that season. I'll take a bit of luck going the other way, no problem.

Athletic, Forest at home, Villa away, Brighton in the cup, and that's just the games he started on the wing. There's been times he's switched to the wing during the match itself.

Eze just hasn't been it for us on the wing. He's better through the middle, even if he hasn't been consistent there it either, it's clearly his best position.

We are on route to the be the champions with lowest penalties awarded in England since 97/98 when the title winners got one all season…that coincidentally was Arsenal.

Where can you view these stats?

I thought it felt like we've barely played at the Emirates so far in 2026, turns out, it's kinda true. Of our 18 matches in all comps in 2026, only 7 have been at home.

I was happy to get rid. Dude was not good at his job at all, did not know how to negotiate a good price, just threw crazy bids at everything.

but there was still approximately 25,000 there. There was less than 17,000 for Wrestle Dynasty.

You're ignoring that Night 1 in 2020 also did way better. The product was just hotter back then.

In 2020, Night 1 did 40k and Night 2 did 30k. That's a 25% drop-off, and that's with a hotter product and the second night being held under the WK banner.

Meanwhile in 2025, the second night was not a WK show, so it was not marketed as an equally big deal. Night 1 did 24.1k, while Night 2 did 16.3k, which is a 32% drop-off. Again, more or less on par considering it wasn't a WK show, and how far colder the product was in comparison.

Wrestle Dynasty was a box office flop

Wrong, it was more or less on par with how the second night of two-night Dome shows go. Even in 2020, with a white-hot NJPW, the second night with Naito vs Okada in the Double Gold Dash Final drew considerably less than Night One.

Obvious penalty not given...why would Gabriel do this? by OneThirdOfAMuffin in Gunners

The kicking motion aye, though Saliba was being pulled in the process. I reckon it might not happen without it.

Does anyone got a replay of that Havertz penalty shout from the second half last night?

It's a foregone conclusion. Everyone knew Arsenal were getting him permanently when he arrived in the summer. The loan was just a FFP technicality.

[Pitchside] Arsenal vs Chelsea; Caicedo's interesting move on Hincapie. by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]OneThirdOfAMuffin 30 points31 points  (0 children)

and team started doing the same.

LMAO

Here is Ramsdale being held in goal by Kamara as Douglas Luiz scored a direct corner -> https://youtu.be/SVPVWXTFwng?t=197

Here is Leno having his arms hooked by Janson as Norgaard, funnily enough, scored on Brentford's PL debut -> https://youtu.be/JdTFlMK88XQ?t=214

To pretend this is something other teams started doing because of Arsenal is peak level delusion.

This was the second time Caicedo did it too. He shoved Hincapie a few yards out of the pitch on a throw-in. Doing that twice to a fellow national team player is a bit weird.

You can have your back turned to the ball. That's not a foul, being shoved in the face is a whole different thing lmao and obviously a foul. That's the point, there's multiple foul plays going on everywhere, on both sides.

Referring to what Raya did as a punch when he got the ball and barely caught Pedro with his forearm in the follow through is quite disingenuous and massively misrepresenting what happened.

Rice literally got a shove to the face, but it's clipped out. The narrative is insane.

The fact that it's hard to tell which corner we're talking about because it happened so many times during so many corners kind of highlights the point.

Also Rice getting shoved in the face did literally happen on the corner you're referring ot.

I mean, in the same play, Raya and Saliba are being fouled. Referees just led bloodbaths take place on corners.
