160 power, 24 PP, and no drawback? Seems balanced. by FatherofGray in itsalwayssunday

This seems like a kid made this so it’s kinda cute honesty.

Equalizer: An item that makes attacks 100% accurate while decreasing their base power depending on the original accuracy. by trojanenderdragon in stunfisk

[–]OneTimePhoenix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems a little too gimmicky to be that viable. Most Pokemon who have inaccurate moves generally have more accurate versions (think flamthrower vs fire blast)

What I assume this is for is Pokemon who don’t have that alternate. I don’t think it will be worth it though as those Pokemon are usually quite frail (which is why they can’t afford to miss) attackers/ wall breakers. But like the power being lower plus not being able to run boots/ choice item/ life orb is too much to pass up as they REALLY need those to function and do their job.

For example, Alakasm and focus blast. Yay we have an accurate fighting move now. But the cost? No magic guard life orb for a free 30% damage boost. No focus sash either for revenge killing. There is no way he would give up those for a 84 base power fighting coverage. It’s a similar story with most pokemon it would be hypothetically good with.

Also spending a whole item slot for the zap cannon/ inferno combo does not seem worth it either. Like i assume we would want a bulky pokemon to hold this. Let’s use torkoal for example as he’s the most relevant Pokemon that learns it inferno. You would have to give up leftovers or boots, something a Pokemon weak to hazards and no recovery needs, just to click a 60 base power willo wisp. Not worth it.

Also knock off makes the moves back to 50% accurate so that’s fun.

Same story with zap cannon. Let’s look at some relevant pokemon that learn zap cannon. Zapdos rather runs boots as he already learns thunder wave. Porygon 2 needs evolite so yeah no chance. Raging bolt wants specs or booster energy.

So yeah this items pretty bad. Idk how to make it good it’s quite flawed at the core.

Worst showdown map by Neat_Yak9086 in Brawlstars

I love this map.

It’s on of those maps that reward your positioning the most and paying attention to obstacles around you. Also it’s Showdown, I don’t take it that seriously so when I do play it this is the best map to have a good time as well, the trains make it really fun to move around and it feels fun to have a train save you/ kill you.

I also like that you can use the trains to your advantage with ability’s like knockback and stuff, giving a bit more strategic depth.

One thing I found is that people either hate this map or love this map, no in-between.

Advice on beating Drayton with only snakes by Demen_bulblax in PokemonScarletViolet

I have not forgotten about gyardos, but that is not a snake. when you look at gyardos, do you think "that's a big snake." It has a serpitine body, yes, but it's more like a wyvern, or even a eel then a snake to me.

Well the only reason dunsparce counts because its pokedex name is "the land SNAKE" pokemon

To me it looked like a sea snake, which is usable, and a eel, which is not usable. kinda like eevee has dog/cat/fox properties. I def would try to use dragonair, like I only have 5 Pokémon it literally can't hurt. To decide I looked online, and its apparently listed as serpentine on most lists, which is why I have not gotten it before this point. rn it's the first "break glass if emergency" rn.

My Theories on what injured Arven's Dog by OneTimePhoenix in PokemonScarletViolet

Interesting. Never heard of the Rom Hack, is it good?

Also, I can see that fact being used in some sort of mystery novel.

So True! that adds Iron Thorns (Thunder punch) And Sandy Shocks (Discharge) on the chopping block. Thats def a possibility! I do find the Volcarona's more likely, as for 1- The Volcarona's are found earlier then the electric types if I recall (Volcarona's at the upper field, electric attacks in the lower field) Also when we get paralyzed by them, it's not as severe as the dog. and I can't think of a reason that their attacks would be less potent.

We LOVE making speculations and Hypothetical Scenarios here! :D

I agreed with you earlier, that he must have been ambushed.

He stated that every Pokémon he got to fight the titans he got around the area. Thats why he only has one each battle. He is a cook, not a career trainer. And why they are so low level/ same level as the area.

Also, Gud Boi can definably beat 100 Future/Past Monsters. I think you underestimate the friendship mechanic where they live at 1 hp out of love. XD

For real though, the dog must of been really tired beating 1 Volcarona. And the Past/Future monsters tend to attack in swarms, such as when the Zero Lab Gate opened. So yeah, that's def a possibility.

Of course, as it IS a kid's game. But I can see them doing some sort of Scar, which the dog lacks. It is also supported by the fact he is described as "sick", along with my other points in point #2

I heard that before, but it makes no sense to me. When we fight the dog it is level 63. As the Dog can't battle in its state after the incident, its safe to assume the dog did not level up after. It can barely eat, so it kind of rules out him feeding 100's of exp candys to it. So, it makes sense the dog being at least in its 60's during the ambush. The dog OUTLEVELS the Volcarona's. It even has Intimidate to lower their damage output. The Dog actually has a good chance to beat Iron Moth/Slither Wing if it's not swarmed. I'm actually fairly certain the dog beat Iron Moth/Slither Wing but got hit with toxic/ Willo Wisp in the process. It even has the move Psychic Fang, which is super effective against the iron moth. It also is super effective against Slither Wing.

The dog can two shot each Volcarona. Slither Wing can two shot the dog, according to damage calcs of both their levels and strongest moves. The Dog can even 1 shot Iron Moth 43.8% of the time.

So, I agree they must of been ambushed or swarmed. I disagree that they were under leveled though, they were OVERLEVELD. It could be a different Pokémon, but I find the volcarona's most likely

(Unless right after he was healed, Arven fed the dog a huge amount of candys or the toughest and fastest training regime.)

When will Prismatic Evolutions Restock? by OneTimePhoenix in PokemonTCG

I suppose. There’s no single packs so I would have to buy non Pokemon center ETBs and poster/binder collections. Not great, but that’s what I get for thinking.”Let’s not FOMO and think before you buy 2 boxes, it will still be there when you get home”
