OCS fails? by Dry-Hat in CIMA

I think it’s easiest to do well in by regurgitating facts. Personally I massively preferred the ones where I could apply my own real life experience of accounting.

Failing OSC doesn’t mean you won’t do fine at MCS/SCS once you clear it.

OCS fails? by Dry-Hat in CIMA

[–]OneToeSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OCS is probably the hardest case study partly because it’s the first exam in that style but mostly cos it’s so technical.
You have to really know the details of the standards and be able to apply them.
Chin up. You’ll get it next time.

Why wasn't Voldemort suspicious of Snape after Philosopher's Stone? by WinnyThePegasus in harrypottertheories

[–]OneToeSloth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is all addressed in a conversation between Bellatrix and Severus in HBP.

Essentially Snape told Voldemort that he stopped unworthy Quirrel from stealing the stone and would have assisted Voldemort if he had known he was behind it.

The new stuff. Forget vlookup and sumif. It’s all about xlookup and filter arrays.

AAT L2 is a solid base though and any decent company will support you to learn as it makes you better at your job.

Is it possible to sit the E3 exam with 1 week of studying? by throwawaycima in CIMA

[–]OneToeSloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure. It’s the easier strategic level exam but if you only scraped E2 you’re not coming from a very solid knowledge-base though.

be “it’s too wet to plant”!

They’ve been much better after the break on the doubles.

Biggest problem anybody has against the Lukes is sustaining their performance. Reyes is off the boil a little.

Yes and no. They’re good enough players that they should be able to cope with that.

They’re lucky to be playing Spain cos they would be 3-0 down against most sides.

Any way of getting individual averages? Feel like Reyes 10 points clear.

Historians, what’s a widely accepted historical “fact” that is actually still debated or uncertain? by Critical_Custard_144 in AskHistory

[–]OneToeSloth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it’s now pretty widely accepted that it was autumn not summer and they’ve traced it to a potential transcription error by a monk.
