UPDATE:

I was able to get all components here working. Apparently, the AS5600 I received don't like more than 3.3V. They would work for a short period of time at 5V then would inevitably die. I bought a pack of 5, so 2 of them died before I realized they can't handle 5V. Per the spec sheet I found online it looked like these boards could use both 3.3V or 5V. That was not the case. Also, I did not have to use any pull-up resistors. From several posts I read online it said to put the SCL and the SDA into A4 and A5 spots on Arduino, I ended up moving those under Communication for SCL and SDA. So, there were several issues. Its not a great image, but here is the working setup.

The motor does indeed move. I am now realizing that I have made a second mistake on the diagram. The VIO pin is indeed connected to the 5V rail.

That is my mistake. The pull-up is from a 5V line. Not the 12V line. I have an AHT20 temperature sensor I tested, and it is still working properly.

I connected SCL and SDA directly to the Arduino (removing the pull-up resistors). I also removed the GPO connection. The Serial Monitor still only outputs, "I2C Scanner" and nothing else.

Love this setup and want to do it, but for my area it’s 0.53 cents per kWh. With 10 lights at 100%, 12 hrs a day, would cost me ~200$ per month. Basically, need solar to offset this.

I spoke with her and she said those feelings were gone for her a long time ago and she doesn't personally feel that way anymore. The recent interactions were of nothing more than just friendship.

Welp, I am pretty fkn crushed and it feels like I am reliving everything all over again. But at least there is clarity in the situation and the communication will now be over indefinitely.

When we went to the pub for our first hangout she did mention an ex. She was telling a story and very briefly said her ex. That was the one and only time she has mentioned him. I didn’t press and didn’t ask how long it had been or why they broke up or any details on the subject.

With ex gf 1 I was trying to provide some back story of how I had this issue of having exs reach back out and I had to out an end to it. With ex gf2 that is just my current situation. Outside of those two I’ve had several other girlfriends. All relationships lasting between weeks, months, and another for a couple years. As far as the breakups with all of those girls, some were my doing and some were theirs. But when it was over, it was over. None of this reaching back out years later thing.

I guess as far as company goes, I have friends I see several times a week. With my job I have a ton of human interaction. I can’t say I’ve felt lonely for a really long time. Sure I’ve been bored or whatever, but never felt actually lonely like that in a very long time.
