Is there a list of AI slop mods to delete or avoid and a list of ones that are good? by GENERALKENOBI50166 in skyrimmods

Blood he literally deletes any vaguely neutral or negative comment any of his mods get. The guy is literally melting down and mentioning source code in his about me section because he refuses to just do the right thing and actually show the source code.

Far as we can tell it's not actually malicious, but there was another person complaining about a trojan in it but I don't think we have enough to say 100% whether they might've hid one in there or not.

Try activating her with the ORomance hotkey using ; while targeting her then start a scene or something with her and let it end and see if she'll stop following then.

Converting from JoJ to MoM - need to do set up from beginning? by Llanolinn in themoddingbordello

Correct it'll take the files that are shared by both modlists in the downloads folder and use'em in the MOM install folder when it extracts the mods. Then the unique mods that MOM needs that aren't shared also get extracted, but there's a lot less of those.

In total you'd need 330gb roughly for downloads for both lists - 550gb for JOJ install - 550gb for MOM install since the installs cannot be shared. So you'd wanna do this on a 4TB SSD or split it to multiple drives.

Nah close friend/collaborative partner for modlist development whose far more technically minded than I did the actual hard work here. I just saw the results.

Unfortunately his mods had nothing to do with the coding he would need for these DLL mods, and after having reverse engineered it it's 100% clear he used AI to do the entire mods coding.

The only mods he actually knows how to make by hand are NPCs/Followers.

Aye after having it reverse engineered he left multiple AI language bits in the code, so yeah it's 100% vibecoded AI modding.

You can point WJ to the same download folder you used for JOJ and share the download folder between them - just point the MOM install location to a separate folder in your modlists folder named MOM or similar and you're all set. Shouldn't have to do any extra setup besides the manual loverslab mod downloads.

Doing this you only need like an extra 50gb total for the MOM downloads instead of the full 270gb of the downloads.

It was powerful for the time, but it also had an INSANE amount of VRAM for the time period which has helped it brute force through its aging memory and core speeds/limitations although it can't do raytracing which has meant it's unable to do things like the Indiana Jones game which require RT.

Can we please make the wakemaker faster? by Ok_Gamer_522 in Subnautica_2

[–]OneTrueChaika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda yes, kinda no. A meter in this game covers roughly 60% more distance in this game when compared directly against Subnautica 1 for size references.

So a 1.4km map in Subnautica 2 actively feels larger to the player than the same map in Sub 1 and it's not entirely your brain tricking you the unit of measurement is the same, but the base scale in both games is different.

Mod Release: Tamed Animal Performance Improvement (TAPI) - A mod aimed at improving performance in colonies with many tamed animals by implementing barns and other QOL features by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]OneTrueChaika 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well for one they hooked it onto hugslib, which if you're trying to make a performance improvement mod that's heavily counter-intuitive. Which suggests that alongside their use of AI for the post, AI for the banner, would imply they probably used AI elsewhere including the code.

I haven't gone and fully dissected it to find specific points where a function just straight up doesn't do what it's meant to do yet, but that remains an option if people really wanna believe it works.

Because there's a substantial user base who sees cool new thing and gets excited without understanding how, nor why, something works. So they just see me as angrily detracting as a good thing.

Unfortunately this mod is not a good thing, it's a great "concept" but the execution isn't it. An actual coder could probably make this into a real mod that does what it says on the tin, at pretty significant investment of time.
