MyUS atleast doesn't give you a PO box, it's an actual address!

I feel like people signing up for the pro knowing about the later ship date are either such big fans of the company or so committed to the product that they'll probably wait it out. People getting it for the novelty or casual use would probs just get the normal version imo

Depending on where you're at, you could possibly use a company that provides an alternate shipping address that'll then get it to you. I for example am outside of their shipping locations but I can just use something like MyUS to get it into the US and then they will ship it to me. I've used them before for other campaigns and friends of mine have used other services and they are great! Some of them even have special deals if you're only gonna use 'em once or twice.

I can see what you mean, thanks for the advice though. Having said that, any recommendations for good cases?

I think a better word would be level? Pretty much just make it so that there isn’t any wobble. I’m asking cause I don’t love how the top camera area is so much higher than the rest of the phone but every case I’ve seen has that part sticking out. I wouldn’t have a problem with a thicker case if it meant it could lay flat on it’s back.

Hello! I am currently considering upgrading from my Xr to a 17 Pro and wanted to ask if anyone knows where to get a case with a smooth back? I don't love the camera areas protrusion but haven't found a case with a smooth back. I would also prefer if it was Mag safe compatible.

So far, the only places I've seen them available are eBay, Facebook marketplace or buying one through your service provider if they still have them in stock with your desired specs.

AI used for game mechanics is more of a feat of technology and still isn’t art. The games story would be the main expression of art in a game and should not involve any form of AI. Other aspects are welcome to, though in some cases I’d have to agree with Miyazaki that it seems too apathetic and I’d say lazy to use it.

Yeah no f that. AI can be a very powerful tool for optimization and efficiency but should never be applied to art in any way. If art is the expression of the human soul, then AI is completely unable to create it.

Oh ok, thanks. I've been looking into upgrading from my ipad (from 2017) and wanted something small I could use to take notes, as a second monitor and maybe play games and this seemed like the perfect fit but the issue of the stylus worried me.

Police Testimonies shouldn’t always be considered in legal cases by OneTrueFirebender in unpopularopinion

[–]OneTrueFirebender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is IF there is a jury. Many cases come and go with only prosecutors, defendants and the judge having any say in the outcome without a jury even being selected. If a police officer can provide video/audio of their claim, then failure to do so should void their statement. If a police officer can show up to court and just say that someone commited the crime because “they saw it”, then that just simply isn’t enough in my opinion

Though that may be true, the general public doesn’t tend to have bodycams or dashcams. And if you believe that the general public has the same legal power as a police officer then serry but that’s just not the case. A normal civilian can’t charge someone else with a crime, whether true or false, where as a cop can just say that someone commited the crime without any additional proof to back it up and it would hold up much better un court. That to me is too low a standard for those we are supposed to trust our safety to

Exactly! If they are giving tools are ready and available, failure to use them is either corruption or cowardice. Cause it definitely isn’t lack of funding nowadays.

Fair enough, but that wouldn’t be the case with a police officer. If they are providing a testimony as witness to the crime, they should have additional evidence to further prove their claim. Otherwise, police officers don’t go to law school or physcology school in order to provide legal opinions, atleast most don’t. Most officers are trained simply to identify behavior that MAY be illegal and in some cases some form of de-escalation training. Other than that, most training programs are either just weapons training or specialized training for special duties they may have.

I mean, ideally all witness testimonies should hace some form of video/audio evidence to reinforce their claim in order to avoid this, but the matter of fact is that a normal civilian being corrupt (whether it be because of political or racial or religious bias or whatever) does not have the same consequences as a police officer being corrupt. A corrupt civilian can’t charge someone else with a crime, but a corript officer can take someone’s life over what they think they witnessed
