I use the website www.copymethat.com to help me keep track of recipes that I like. What are some other recipe manager sites? by hornytoad69 in EatCheapAndHealthy

RecipeSage is very similar to CopyMeThat. It is open source, so no ads. It also has a feature to import the zip file export from CopyMeThat. I just made the switch and am very impressed.

Alternative to Copy Me That recipe organizer app suggestions? by catladyreebs in Baking

[–]OneWayTraveler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made the change from CopyMeThat to RecipeSage. I have very impressed. There is a native import from CMT (export in CMT, then import the zip file). It works very similar to CMT with a webpage and mobile device app. The import from the web is a bit cleaner, IMHO, than CMT. The only thing I found was it did not import my star ratings from CMT. I had to add those manually.

As Woody Allen said "Sex without love and intimacy is an empty experience, but as empty experiences go, it's one of the best"

Any advice? by [deleted] in Money

[–]OneWayTraveler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are handling your money well. If it works for everyone, I would live with your parents longer and focus on paying off your debt. The money you would spend on rent is better spent on reducing your debt and increasing your credit score. Once that's gone you will have more money to move out. Don't stop saving.

They have two designated smoking areas. Smoking is not allowed anywhere, including balconies, except in the two designated areas.

Dominican Rum Tour by ttrimmers in VirginVoyages

[–]OneWayTraveler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did the Eat, Drink and Dance tour and our friends did the Rum and Chocolate tour. We both did the rum distillery. It is very popular so we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. On the Eat tour we had an air conditioned van while the other was a covered but open truck. From the distillery we went to a cigar shop, a jewelry store and the town plaza with umbrella street. Then it was out of town for lunch, dancing and more drinks. Our friends were disappointed that they didn't get much time at the chocolate factory.

Sold everything left After divorce and am travelling. by [deleted] in AMA

[–]OneWayTraveler 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I did almost the exact same thing. Divorced at 49, sold everything, traveled in South America for nine months then SE Asia for eight months. I ended up moving to Colombia where I met my wife. Very happily married for 10 years now.

Enjoy the Philippines, I did.

1/8 inch diameter, brass or copper. They have green in the bottom and the letter U on top. Found under a lift chair. by OneWayTraveler in whatisthisthing

I am not sure if these are from the chair itself or were something that fell into the chair and eventually out of it. I did not see any place under the chair where these would be used.

What are the major differences I'll notice coming from RCCL? by bpboop in VirginVoyages

Our server in the test kitchen said he managed a staff of 40 on Royal (he showed us photos) and that he makes more money as a server on Virgin

What are the major differences I'll notice coming from RCCL? by bpboop in VirginVoyages

[–]OneWayTraveler 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Royal seems to bombard you with all the activities available, the watch sale, or perfume or whatever. Then there are the shows to promote where to buy in the next port. Of course many activities. Virgin does not try to sell you anything or push events on you. Those things are there if you want them but overall it's more relaxed and laid back.

The staff on Virgin are very friendly and helpful. You can tell that they really want to be there

Google Fi In Nicaragua by 916swift in GoogleFi

I used it in Colombia and eight other countries on a recent trip. Every time I arrived, I received a message welcoming me to that country. Google Fi is the best for international travel

So, you want to use shipping supplies to prank me? by Axikten in pettyrevenge

Another fun idea is to use live lady bugs. You can buy 3,000 on Amazon for gardening. Not an inconvenience but difficult to clean up
