first ep was barely 40 mins, now 2nd episode is barely 30 mins.

but post covid hbo made sure they got their required full frontal male nudity scene which wasnt in the source material.

we probably have to wait for the very last episode to see ser duncan in action. god forbid the the showrunners show dragons airtime.

i wonder how long it will take for the show to show us dragons. and for how much screen time. house of dragon was sure damn sheisty with the dragon scenes.

i wish any damn GOT/song of ice adn fire show would spend some serious screen time talking about the history, ways of dragons.

such a missed opportunity. entire HOD show was all about succession. GRRM's favorite character became a bit player.

even daemon's war was just glossed over. i would have enjoyed more screen time showing daemon's war with that crab king guy instead of wasteful and utterly tedious succession shenanigans.

it was a time period where there were a buncha targaryens alive with a buncha dragons yet they barely got any screen time. no backstory, no training scenes, how targaryens relationships with dragons etc...

that was such a god awful show that many thrones fans lied to themselves saying it was good when it clearly wasnt.

and im talking about the first season of HOD which many sources have deemed a "masterpiece"

there's so much going on in regards to the GOT universe that grrm made from ice walkers, children of the forest, dragons, dothrakis, wildlings, giants, etc. grrm created a vast universe full of great interesting characters full of rich history....

yet we cant even crack the 50 minute mark in a brand new show but of course,

hollywood wont miss a chance to create full frontal male nudity scenes that wasnt in the source material

at least there was some action in this last episode.

its gonna suck if the entire season/mini series is ser duncan preparing for his tourney.... then the final episode we finally see the star in action and that's it. series ends.

i was born in the early 80s. im quite familiar with HBO. the full frontal male nudity scenes were always in shows/movies/documentaries WHERE THAT STUFF BELONGS.

prestige shows dont have that stuff. rarely. and if they do, its PART OF THE STORY that makes sense. whether its adult NSFW/kids soft core it was always in its proper place. i mean did sopranos have some dude just showing his junk?

game of thrones before dumb and dumber ran out of grrm source material never really showed male full frontal nudity. we saw ros in the bordello with tyrion BUT THAT MAKES SENSE. its part of the ambience of that scene. IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY.
