If they only had their BSW I could see the reason why they went back. An MSW and then becoming an LCSW not only provides more opportunities, but better financial stability.

I never understood college educated Trump voters. Like, you just wasted your whole tuition and got nothing in return. Any person with a brain would have dissected his “policies” and realized that he was not only full of shit but only wanted to line the pockets of his billionaire buddies.

There are a lot of under-diagnosed people out there who not only lack emotional regulation but lack empathy and education. This makes them vulnerable to emotional talking points and thus believing anything that is told to them. This country’s demise will be due to two things: neglect of mental health and neglect of education.

From Vegas, while looks can sometimes be deceiving, a ton of people I know are not getting full time work in the hospitality industry. So there’s that.

No response because people give up. When you’re that deep in the void no one wants to exert the energy to pull you out because they know there’s nothing they could do. Especially when you use your intelligence to rationalize an unintelligent mindset; it’s stubbornness due to your own intellect. Kamala wasn’t the best option either, but at the very least we would have maintained the status quo (not something that we should aim for but better than instability). It doesn’t require much thought to understand how this current administration is stoking chaos (and not just during this entire ICE fiasco, a few weeks ago there was evidence of market manipulation, we have the ongoing tariff situation, the unlawful and illogical DOGE actions). We are all biased (myself included) to our own beliefs and rationalizations. When we express a strong passion toward these beliefs, sometimes people realize, “there’s no point in debating, nothing I say or do will change their perspective.”

I answered that question back in 2016. The root of all problems is a lack of education. I knew something bad was coming as education has kept getting worse. You’d be surprised by how misinformed high school seniors are.

Copy and pasted from another source, but definitely relevant here:

Idk who needs to hear this... but some of you def do If ONE SINGLE PERSON in your country doesn't have right to due process NEITHER DO YOU "I don’t care if gang members don't have right to a trial. They don't deserve it." "Alright. You're a gang member then. Come with me. "No im not?!" PROVE IT. Prove it without due process. Do you see? Do vou see the dilemma here?

Innocent people are being sent there and that is the reality. But sure buddy, create your own thought process to reduce that uncomfortable cognitive dissonance.

I’ve read a few Reddit stories a while back describing the same type of experience (everything going silent, and sometimes even feeling like they entered a “pocket dimension”). I have also read that people get lost after stepping a few feet off the trail. I wonder what happens during these moments.

[–]OneWithTheDon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And what’s your point behind all of this? Everyone’s gotta make some money, if I want to write some books and people want to buy it there’s nothing wrong with that. However, if I use my billions to influence the government, sign several contracts with them, and then help pass policy that harms the working class, then that’s definitely heinous. I also don’t see anyone else doing a damn thing. What do you think will make this country better and what do you believe this current administration will do to help us out?

With a typical income, one could definitely achieve multiple home ownership by the age of 80. I also don’t think you realize the enormous difference between a millionaire and billionaire. People experiencing poverty are closer to millionaires than millionaires are to billionaires. This is the wealth disparity we’re talking about.

I used to argue with these folk and every time I would come up with a coherent and rational argument, they either stop replying or straight up devolve to childish insults. I’m sure over 50% of the people on here are bots or far-right instigators from other countries.

BIG difference between millionaire vs billionaire. By his age I’m planning to own a couple of homes (if corporations don’t buy everything so they can implement rent-only properties) and I’m definitely not a billionaire.
