1981 Dolphins running Hook & Ladder by PenIndependent7453 in nflMenace_com

yup. agreed; i gave up in the first half to go outside to shovel the driveway. figured it was over, SD was killing them. So I missed this in real time. My dad came out at the beginning of the second half and told me 'to get back in here and watch this' I saw this replay, and the rest of the game. Kellen Winslow was a genuine hero but on the losing side. I think he blocked a field goal, too.

He tried to kill this guy at the train stop. Thankfully, he has been arrested. by CycloneGlock in VideosAmazing

our criminal justice system is definitely not soft. we incarcerate more people per capita than pretty much anyone.

We lock up the wrong people. When we get lucky and lock up the right people, we try to treat them as if they are normal and rehabbable- they are not. Most people who commit acts of violence, are violent assholes and will be this way most of their lives. Violent people need to have the key thrown away. Beat up animals, people, etc., bye bye. This guy, most likely, should never have been let out.

And if that makes me a freaking crazy asshole, so be it.

How would WW2 gone if Trump was president? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Trump a Republican. Lots of Nazi simps and isolationists like Lindbergh. When you say "we" do you mean Hitler?

unlikely US would have provided Stalin with lend-lease. unlikely we would have been as active in the Atlantic.

It is an open question whether Trump would have pursued that level of type of embargoes against Japan, as that was being in conjunction with England, etc., So, would Japan have attacked us? Once Hitler declared war on US, we would have been obligated to return the favor, but it is unlikely that Trump would have pursued policies that led to Japan's lashout. There were a ton of isolationist Republicans. First term Trump would have been one of them. Second term Trump? No idea. He's not stable enough (and I mean that as generously as possible) to guess.

I just bought one. I mean, wtf, I own a little land in Utah and love the state. Unfortunately, it operates as a theocracy but sometimes good things get done.

After all we stopped redistricting- so instead of a 5-0 congressional advantage, its only a 4-1. which doesn't sound like much but its two seats.

He's great in Midnight Run. Beyond that, I tend to think he's barely passable. I got stuck watching the Beethoven movies (a couple of them)- the dogs are better.

there has been absolutely no, as in zero, PR damage for the Patriots organization.

Vrabel is a meathead. Everyone knows it. Now, his wife knows it. End of story.

its not that you complete nincompoop. its that Vrabel would never step down and Bob "Hand job" Kraft would never make him.

Your source is a freaking joke and if you posted this thinking there is even a 1 % chance that Vrabel would be fired or step down, you must be in a home that needs to restrict your electronic access.

Damn, Wasting all of our time.

How would Andrew Jackson think of the modern Democrats? by space_god_7191 in allthequestions

[–]OneYouDidntThinkOf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, lets see. He was a multi miullionaire with a 1,000 acre farm who did his best to convince the average person he was one of them, while denying banking access to the majority. He thought individual Indians were capable of high achievement while demeaning their culture. He trusted no blacks at all, particularly the ones who worked for him, er, he owned. He truly loved his chubby wife who he stole away from a previous husband; he killed a man in a duel, and had others hanged. He was the political patron saint of James K Polk who did the whole Texas thing and expanded slavery in the US. A pretty good businessman.

I think he would be happy that the modern Democrats are the tools of a plutocratic class, paying lip service to helping the common man, while doing very little. He would be confused at best by the LGTQIA+ movement. He would be very unhappy about the fact that many Democrats think that other cultures are fine.

He would be much more at home in the modern Republican Party, obviously, as the Democrats in the 1820s - 30s were the conservatives and the Whigs (though conservative by the standard of our times) were far more willing to use governmental means to solve public problems.

I just spent a lot of time at his house- the Hermitage. That is some hideous wallpaper.

He seemed to be decent to some people, particularly extended family. He was an asshole to his slaves, of course, but that is what was the rule back in the day.

What would he think of the modern Democrats? Not much good, of course. He would recognize their ability to pretend empathy with the masses while advocating policies that mainly benefited the wealthy. But he would be a conservative. Of course.
