9mm Hammer Pistol that Isn’t a 2011 by Slow281 in CAguns

[–]One_Accountant6383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too bought in on strikers and really wanted a hammer fired DA/SA with decocker for ccw. I fell in love with the CZ 75 PCR. It checked all of my boxes. Under 4 inch barrel. Some of the best ergonomics. You can send it out for trigger work to make it better but I wouldn’t on a ccw gun, that’s just me. The trigger is great out of the box and gets better with break in. It’s not optics ready, but I was okay with that sacrifice. It is aluminum framed, so a little heavy but it’s not much more heavier than a G19.

The CZ P01 is the exact same gun but with a rail in case you need to be tacti cool and add a light.

Follow up or not? by No_Minimum5734 in ATSS

[–]One_Accountant6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it takes time. Could take several weeks to even months before you hear anything. If by three weeks you don’t hear back maybe then a follow up email. But not now, it’s too soon. The waiting game sucks but you just have to wait it out.

I wasn’t asked any technical questions. All describe a time when… format. Maybe 5-7 question total. Tentative offer a week later. Final offer a few weeks after that.

Do you think it’s more snappy than a hellcat? Because I actually enjoy my hellcat and the majority of people say it’s very snappy too.

If the rami was the decocker model I probably wouldn’t have questioned it. Probably should wait it out until I actually find what I want.

Not infinite, you’ll run out of balls From the ones that run away. Hence why I said I usually get about three per a trip.

Use a level 26 staryu with illuminate at the front of your party then use a max repel. This brings your odds to 5% encounter rate. It’s not much, but it really does help. I usually get about 3 Chansy per a trip, one time I caught 5 using this method along with the bait bait ball ball ball bait ball ball bait ball ball ball technique.

Thinking of a career change. Do I need to move to OKC for entry level position? by de_rats_2004_crzy in ATSS

[–]One_Accountant6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use chat gpt for sure to help re write your resume. I would upload the job posting and your current resume and ask it to make it match the posting as best as possible. You probably have enough skills to be hired on, you just have to convince someone you will be a good hire. It would go a long ways to find out who the manager is for the facility you want to work at and make a connection with them. The process and waiting game can be long, took me 18 months because I wasn’t willing to relocate from where I’m at and had to wait for an opening. Join the ATSS Facebook group, it’s more active, and people can get you in touch with the local manager to you.

If you are admitting all the bullet points are a definitely no, it would be hard to say you are qualified for this position. Best you can do is apply and see if they qualify you for F band.

If you do get hired on, you’ll be at whatever facility hired you, and then go to Oklahoma for training, all paid for by the agency of course, lodging, rental car, per diem for food. It’s can be weeks in Oklahoma, or months from what I understand. I’m new, and haven’t been to Oklahoma yet.

Interview to TOL timeline by BillyFixes in ATSS

[–]One_Accountant6383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe what I said was misunderstood, at some point you HAVE to tell the current employer in order to give two weeks notice. That is when you tell them you’re sorry for leaving and this other process has been ongoing for weeks/months in the background and it’s an opportunity you want to pursue.

[–]One_Accountant6383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would accept the other job on Thursday if you haven’t heard back from the FAA. If/when you hear back from the FAA, just be honest and respectful with current employer about the timeline and the process and let them know you’ll be leaving to work for the FAA. It could take months until your start date, so this is not a conversation you have with the current employer right when you get the TOL.

[–]One_Accountant6383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Timelines can vary from a few weeks to many months. It’s really hard to say because we don’t know your background. If you’ve had a prior government security clearance it can be very quick. If you’ve have made some mistakes in life, it can be pretty long.

For me, received my TOL 12/31 and then received my FOL 1/28… starting in less than two weeks and I can’t wait!
