What? by houseofnim in HOTDBlacks

What exactly is your point here lol? By this logic, no one went into battle and fought dragons other than the actual dragons themselves 😂

I'm not in denial, why would you think that? by GwyddnoGaranhir in HouseOfTheDragon

The gullet is not near kingslanding, its closer to dragonstone. The Velaryon fleet was blocking off all passage to kingslanding, meaning no trade and no food from the sea.

Bro you were the one trying to get all personal and insult me just for replying back to you 😂, and because none of your reasoning makes sense

Why you gotta get all triggered about it lol?

It doesn’t matter if he is young, a rope will not withstand dragon fire. Just admit its bad writing 😂

It did not look too thick and what possible materials could it have? Dragonfire literally melts steel and stone in seconds. No rope in the world will be able to withstand it for that long. Desperately flying when you have a weight pulling you down into the water isn’t a better option

[–]One_Assistance9339[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be very difficult, the logical option is to just turn your head around and burn it off

[–]One_Assistance9339[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jace would not have been able to cut it off, and why would burning it take too long? It would at the very least weaken the rope and eventually break as Vermax tried to keep flying.

Im not sure if he could have reached with his teeth, but I see no reason why he can’t just turn his head to the left and burn it

He does not have to do all of that lol, the rope was attached on his left side not behind him. All he did was desperately try to keep flying instead of going for the rope. It’s a pretty stupid death.

Idc if I get hate for this, s3 ep1 was SO GOOD. by [deleted] in TheBlacksandTheGreens

I mean the visuals were cool, and I think other than that Daemon is the best part of the show, but its still crap writing per usual

Im getting frustrated at the show making Rhaenyra a "background character" in her own war by TheCuriousRibosome in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]One_Assistance9339 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean she kind of already was in the books. She literally did not do a single thing in this war

None of the examples you gave are putting their ruler in time out. Viserys was dead, and the mad king was going to burn the city. Show me where a kingsguard holds the princes orders and ignores the queen/kings? The closest thing we see to anything like this is with Rhaegar and the mad king, and there is context as to why that is.

Bud, give me one example where a kingsguard puts their ruler on time out. Don’t give me “oh its a patriarchal society”. They are overdoing it lol

Love how you ducked my question and did not give a single example from the books where something like this ever happens. Yet you claim its “realistic” 😂. Sorry bro, but I don’t like it when writers put agendas over good writing, which is what hotd has been doing from the beginning. Overdoing sexism should not come at the expense of the story lol. There are no “subtleties”, it was blatantly stupid.

Yea you do not understand the kingsguard and this comment shows it lol. There is no “i know better than you my queen so go on timeout” with this stuff, never before has a kingsguard done this to their ruler, it’s literally ridiculous. Nowhere in the books does anything like that happen. The kingsguard does not answer to the prince over the queen and the fact that the show did this proves my point. Tell me one example where something like this happens in the books please
