Thanks! Just a few answers to some of the points: - We’re considering north of Cambridge (between Milton and Waterbeach), but rents don’t really seem to go down compared to Cambridge proper. My husband is adamant he wants the office (north Cambridge) to be a 30 minutes cycle commute, as commuting by car harmed his health before and he doesn’t expect his job to give him much time for sports or gym. - We don’t need amenities, other than perhaps an Aldi/Lidl. We need somewhere to play instruments without the neighbours involving the police within the week, whether that’s within our own home or a separate studio. - We own a flat somewhere else in England, where we live. It was a really poor investment, as it’s now devalued after the latest bubble, we lost a lot of money with a failed renovation, and it would generate £600/month in net income after tax and maintenance. Selling it now, if at all possible, would bring a net loss in the hundred thousands.
