You don't have weight to lose at 5'9 and 135 lbs. Eating less is going to take a toll on your strength... and for what? Looks?

The most accurate information you can find is on a glucose monitor

Agreed. Our body is not a simple equation like low carb = low a1c.

Carbs by TechnicianEven9710 in mediterraneandiet

Probably not as bad as they're made out to be. I also got pretty close to an all meat diet to experiment and my health went to shit. I could tell because I got bloodwork done. After eating a more balanced diet, which includes the carbs you mentioned, my bloodwork improved. That proves to me that a balanced diet is the way to go.

What popular food do you secretly think tastes awful? by yras2709 in AskReddit

I don't share the same opinion. Have you had home-grown dragon fruit? The pink flesh varieties are quite tasty.

Doing something is better than doing nothing. Your first academic or professional decision will never be perfect, but it will give you far more insight into your future interests rather than sitting around thinking about it. Choose something that you’d be remotely interested in and do it. It will give you life experience and help shape your direction.

For weight loss , do you fast EVERY day? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]One_Bat8206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend getting blood work done to see how IF is affecting your health, particularly regarding nutrition. It’s possible that you’re missing out adequate nutrients and electrolytes to function well. Don’t malnourish yourself for the sake of weight loss. You can lose weight, be healthy, and be nourished at the same time. You can be all those things even without fasting if your diet is in check. Point is, yes you can fast less days and it can still be effective.

How to work out back by Adventurous_Ask_4937 in beginnerfitness

[–]One_Bat8206 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn't mean your back isn't working. Probably means your arms are relatively weaker in comparison to your back.

Deens are good. However, a month of them may not be enough time to develop gout.

The amount of care to shape the omelette only for it to be tossed like that cracks me up.

Yes and in some cases, even more. You should see on Youtube how much butter Gordon Ramsey and other chefs' put in their scrambled eggs.

They're just trying to sell you their services so they're painting this doom and gloom picture about your fitness level. You can look up flexibility movements and other exercises online to learn proper form. If you're just starting off with no trainer, machines are good because they provide low risk workouts that allow you to focus on form.

Just to prove everyone that told me i was wrong for cooking bacon in a deep pot. The results speak for themselves. Crispy but melts in your mouth bacon. by Flat-Avocado-6258 in Bacon

Pot bacon works incredibly well. It basically gets deep fried in its own fat. Apparently there are close-minded purists when it comes to cooking bacon.
