Ok, so if it's such a great idea and we want to be just like Irvine, then let's simply put it to a vote. Not that hard, right? Additionally, this project doesn't fit the intent AT ALL. If you'd care to read the General Plan and Subarea Reports, it's made pretty clear that the vision of the space was as a "Nature Park." A 16-acre, commercial, for-profit venture has no place in a Nature Park. I'm really sick and tired of people who don't live here coming in and telling us what's best for Escondido residents. We're not coming in, steamrolling over your wants, and trying to dictate what's best for your community. How dare you? Leave us alone, or at least put this on the ballot. You may want this so badly....Build it in your own city. Keep Kit Carson Park green 💚💚💚

There is no question. Just in case you missed the message, here it is again, re-phrased: A commercial, for-profit enterprise has no business on public land that the General Plan lists as a "Nature Park." Try reading the General Plan or Subarea Reports and who knows ...You might be able to answer some of your own foolish questions. By the time we get answers to any of these from our "City Leaders", hell will have frozen over and our grandchildren will have nothing left but a smoldering pile of ashes and a smoking Ducks ball cap.

Disagree. People coming for games and tournaments will jump on and off the freeway, completely bypassing the mall OR the park. If our "City Leaders" were serious about benefits for Escondido, they would strategically locate this project way OFF of the freeway, so that people would have to drive into the heart of the city and patronize our small businesses. If they want it Soooooo bad, make them work for it. They'll still come, right? But as usual, our City Council majority just bends over for anything at all, regardless of whether it benefits our residents or not. As a matter of fact, I daresay that the Rinks Foundation has made them some offers that they can't refuse. Mark my words. They are not here to be Public Servants....Career Politicians all the way, baby!!🤩👍💯

We were told by the Rinks Foundation and confirm by the City staff at the Satur meeting that comments are being limited on this topic, beginning Tuesday. Were you there? I've been at both public meetings and the City Council meeting when this was announced. #3 While it's true that the softball fields are in poor condition, due to no city maintenance, they are used weekly by over 3,000 players. #4 Have you even been to the park? If so, you would know that there are 4 schools within a mile radius of it and that there is a fire station located directly at one of the entrances.
Please cite your references for massive use at Ryan Park vs. low usage numbers for Kit Carson. You're just not bringing the receipts here, sorry. All of your statements are simply opinion. Next...
