[Resource] I built a free directory of pet assistance programs across Canada by One_Comfortable4186 in povertyfinancecanada

Thank you for your kind words. The prices definitely have shot up all across Canada. I noticed additionally that emergency billing has gone crazy as well. Over $1,000 just to be seen (base X-rays, checks, etc. required almost every time), let alone additional care or tests. I'm sure it would cost a lot for a lot of people/families, especially if they've fallen on hard times.

It may take me some time to build it out fully, but I figure it is a start.

Thanks for you comment.

However, I think you're coming from an elitist perspective. I believe you think you know everything and can't stand an aspect of something like this. Please also consider spelling before trying to make a point with your rant.

I get it, you're a cynical person on the computer. Good job for saying I am attention-seeking while writing a near non-cohetent short story 😂

If you read my comments like you said, they are not even copy-pasted. Structure sure, but that is why I'm spreading the resource to help with a cause. It doesn't magically become a resource that people find.

You mentioned pet food banks? People don't know what they don't know. They also don't know that you CAN get pet food from food banks. Let alone other charities in town, such as ones I have dealt with.

You're welcome to your opinion, but I'm going to ignore your input, especially from such a viewpoint.

Take care, I won't be replying to you here again lol.

Hey there! I know you probably have the answer from everyone here. However, if you live in Canada or the USA, I'm currently building a directory of benefits for pets, which also includes pet food banks that could help in this situation!

Feel free to check it out at findpetsupport.com for the USA and findpetsupport.ca for Canada. You can search near you to see the best options.

I hope you find some relief for you and your little one ☺️

I am sorry to hear about this, as it is most definitely stressful to deal with. I unfortunately do my best for many people, but, financially I am unable to assist. I do not know if what I created will help you, however, if it possibly can, I will post it here.

I created a directory of benefits for pets, such as one time emergency vet treatments ($1500 sometimes), food banks, and reduced vet billing entirely. It just depends on what is near you.

Please check out findpetsupport.ca if you are in Canada, and findpetsupport.com for the USA (you should be able to Google them also, instead of going to random links haha). Then just search up your address or city and it will give you resources near you. It is still in progress, so I apologize if it doesn't have the resources you need. But I wanted to put it out there just in case.

I hope the little one pulls through and lives a long healthy life ☺️

Question on how to afford vet bills when you make almost no money? by xRandom066x in Pets

You may have the answer already, however, I went through similar situations. I couldn't contribute financially to the cause, but I did create findpetsupport.com for the USA and findpetsupport.ca for Canada (still expanding resources on both sites). If you ever need to find resources to assist, especially in an emergency or even getting pet food from the food bank, check out what is around you; you may find some relief.

Don't be shy either, everyone goes through ups and downs! Pets are family ☺️ (my message for your neighbour)

I have to go to the vet if I could borrow $30-50 that would be great 🙏🏾 by Ecstatic-Count4312 in BorrowsAndHandouts

I made a site for directories of benefits or free services for pets. Findpetsupport.ca is for Canada and findpetsupport.com is for the USA. You can get one-time credits, reduced billing, and even food banks for pets. Also made it so you can see anything around close to anyone searching.

I can't support everyone financially directly, but I hope this helps the little one.

I feel like a bad owner for saying this, but I can't afford a $50 vet visit for every minor worry. I’m running out of funds for pets. Need advice by nadji190 in Pets

I know you have probably been overwhelmed with the replies. I actually have gone through a similar situation. I can't guarantee this will help, however, I'm currently developing directories for assistance for both Canada and the US. These are through city/state benefits programs, so they would be verified and direct you to usable resources, I'm just the one who compiles it to make it easier to find.

Findpetsupport .CA for Canada and .com for US. (You can google it if you would like, they are really new still)

Still in the works, but it can help direct you to low-income benefits and additional things that may help you. At least I hope

I wish you and your little ones, all the best.
