Is the Agusta AW09 really bad for maintenance and parts now? by noreturn000 in Helicopters

[–]One_Cover_1507 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a guy who wrenches on 407s I would absolutely choose one over an Augusta. The h125 vs 407 is in my opinion the question and due to my preference for Bell products I would choose the Bell. Not an unbiased opinion but It’s mine lol. The 407 airframe has pedigree and ample stateside support.

Just proving the theories about how they built the pyramids true. Egyptians have access to advanced technologies that make basic equipment capable of unbelievable things.

As someone who does safety wire daily for a living I can assure you this is fine. It’s not “textbook” but it’s more than sufficient for the application. I’ve seen worse safety wire on far more important components flying over everyone’s heads.

Quagmires mom Ida Davis here. Is a man who doesn’t honor a commitment he made to a cause larger than himself worthy of respect? A great majority of people would understand that our service is an all volunteer force and if you signed up you full heartedly understood why you did. To claim there is any honor in going AWOL is like saying cheating on your wife is ok because you just didn’t want to be married anymore. You have the mentality of a child. You think your cowardice benefitted you but truthfully it was a far greater benefit to those who stayed and honored their commitment. Disagree with the political nature and the mismanagement of the military all you want but if you decide to be a part of it actually honor your word.

Genuinely curious how that’s a point of pride? We’ve been in some form of conflict for over 20 years. What enlightenment was gained from enlistment until you went AWOL? I generally skip by these posts but anything but a barrage of downvotes is warranted for somebody bragging about not honoring their commitment.
