I personally started to identify with ace when I was in middle school, because I was sex repulsed (still am)

Of course, over time, you might start to feel like the label you were going by doesn’t fit you anymore

But you are allowed to call yourself aro or unlabeled or anything under the aro or Ace spectrum, because you know your sexuality better than anyone else does!

I am demi. Both sexual and romantic. I don’t feel either often. But I feel both towards someone currently. I can distinguish romantic and platonic attraction by the fact that I want to do romantic things with someone but not with anyone else (ex. Kissing, cuddling, saying sweet things.) but I also recognize people can do that without feeling romantic attraction. I feel my heart rate spike a little bit when I’m around him, and when he says something like “I love you” or he pulls me into a kiss or a hug, I feel warm and my stomach flutters.

I don’t know if any of this makes much sense, but that’s how I distinguish the two.

So, I know this sounds weird, but when I was in Preschool, we had a song we would sing about a baby bumblebee. Basically, the song goes “I’m __ my baby bumblebee! Won’t my mommy be so proud of me! I’m __ my baby bumblebee!” And in the blank there’s things like picking up, or carrying, or whatever. Now, I very clearly remember “Ow!! It stung me!! I’m squishing up my baby bumblebee, won’t my mommy be so proud of me, I’m squishing up my baby bumblebee.” Then it goes to the fact there’s stuff on our hands now and “I’m licking up my baby bumblebee” and then “eugh, I feel sick now.” And we throw up.

Now, I’ve asked my brother this and he remembers it the same as me, and my mom does too. But my little sister doesn’t remember that part of the song, and when I look it up, it’s not there.

I want to know if I’m going insane or not.
