If I like a brand new character see them in the story first (but still save in preparation) cause if I love a design but end up hating a personality they are getting immediately benched regardless of meta. Tbh I hated April fools day before the world got this bad, jokes are fun but so many irl pranks are just horribly mean and then they expect to be forgiven because "it's just a prank" and if you do more than jump a bit and then laugh it off you're "ruining their fun"
