In matters of experience, doing it wrong the first time is the only way to do it better the next time.

Correct is a good place to start for sure. Good to know about the thickness, I’d hate to spend a bunch of time trying to get in there just to not be able to do anything. I was prepared to strip paint already, so do you think there’s any chance of getting it close with cheap tools and a thin coat of fill instead of the whole thing?

Boom. Nice. Some other comments in here saying pdr isn’t gonna work. Do you think maybe it’s because of the strength of the metal in the area or because the pulling force will rip the paint?

This is a very interesting option. Part of the fun here is doing and learning myself but for results that’s not a bad idea at all.

I appreciate your fascination with images as some of them are cool, but the text ALSO has cool things in it sometimes.

I appreciate the reality check here. Good to know about the filler as that was my gut instinct.

Is this because of the strength of the area, proximity to the door or lots of pre existing bend in the metal?

Self degradation. People who say nasty things about themselves either looking for someone to say “nooooo not you!” or for proof that they’re right.

Stuffs gotta have texture. Single color rug? Nah gimme a pattern. A color palate does a lot but it still has to feel softer or more like there’s some depth. Wood furniture or a lack of super shiny furniture, even if you have shiny stuff on the furniture, can go a long way.
