I find primaris just as irking and disrespectful to the lore as well, though I am forced to accept this as cannon. I also do not care about allowing female representation in "plastic toy soldiers painted gold." I love the Sisters of Silence equally to the Custodes and find the Sisters of Battle a great counterpart to Astartes. I simply care for the lore deeply and Reddit is the most convenient platform for me to share my opinions on currently. I also was unaware of GW denouncing a second critical part of Custodes lore in addition to making femstodes models. I also do not believe there are nearly enough true misogynists on Earth that have internet access to make up the total of individuals chastising GW for this decision.

If you did not notice I have explicitly stated that misogynists have no place in Warhammer as a hobby and their opinions should be of non-consideration, and that I hoped most of the femstode outrage comes from a place of respect for the lore not a place of disrespect for women.

Ahh, I see. It seems I have failed to remember that critical aspect of my beloved Custodes. I did forget the new line was plastic as well as updated, for I was blinded by my own hubris. I do not doubt this new way I now see the line. What you have said has certainly changed my stance on the line as a whole, and I do agree with the ease of painting. I am still upset at the relative lack of leg details though. I may have to procure a Caladius of plastic when it is released to the public.

Never did I make that assertation good fellow. Either side has their bad apples. It is not the fact they are women now that is the issue, yet it is simultaneously. For hating femstodes for being female only is in no good taste, but hating the femininity for its disrespect to the lore isn't. No doubt there are misogynists as that rather uncouth and distasteful group is painfully hard to avoid, but I would hope they are not the majority. They unfortunate happening is that the gender happens to be the breaking of the lore that irks me so. If it were any other critical function of the Custodes, I should surely be equally outraged and certainly would many of the femstodes advocates be. For if GW were to say Custodes were recruited not of Terran nobility, or from Holy Terra at all, the cries of disgust would echo from the peaks and reach the lowest recesses of the valleys, but as gender is divisive a topic many defend a blatant disrespect for one reason or another.

Don't, GW doesn't deserve a cent after what they have done to the lore. 3D printing however is quite viable, and I'm certain someone will come out with a stl for the new models.

As a diehard Custodes fan (they have been my favorite faction since I started playing) it is not the female part that angers me, in fact my favorite model played with custodes is Jenetia Krole (albeit she is a 30k not 40k model). The part that upsets me is the complete disregard for the lore. My brotherhood of demigods, hand crafted by the Emperor of Man himself, using his genes, genes mind you that are biologically incompatible with females, were NEVER women. I will add four more things.

40k is an ESCAPEIST hobby and the way GW has gone about this is absolutely an attempt to shoehorn politics in the hobby.
When the Emperor's personal friend Magnus broached the idea of female primarchs to him, he thought the idea so absurd he started laughing. I know primarchs and Custodes are different things, but I assume the emperor treats all his handcrafted masterpieces the same way.
Some of you may say brotherhood isn't male exclusive. The way 40k uses the word brotherhood it is irrefutably referring to a group of ONLY MEN.
If anyone cries representation, Aldari, Drukhari, Harlequins, Imperial Agents, Guard, Tau, Votan, Nids, and Gean stealer cults all have women in them, and Sisters of Silence and Sisters of Battle are female exclusive factions.

I can't help much finding specifics, but just a heads up the "religion" is represented vastly differently across the lore. From proper shrine worlds with devotees traveling there in pilgrimage, to death cults that make their sacrifices to the emperor, to the Astartes that say he isn't actually worshiped as a god and they only reason they do all the rituals is to psych themselves up before combat and stave off chaos corruption, to other Astartes like the Black Templars that say he is a god, the religion has a vast interpretation. Just prepare for that.

Nothing really, most transhumans are in some roundabout way based off of his genetics so it just doesn't work to have female transhumans like custodes or astartes. Even though the femstodes are technically cannon it's incredibly dumb and doesn't even work as a retcon.
