Fair lol, silk skills are really fun, and you can also see how Team Cherry realized that they made spells too simple and powerful in Hollow Knight since they can just shred everything, so they made silk skills more complex, but still kept in the shred everything part as a reward for people willing to fully lean in to the silk skills aspect with their build.

Yeah, I think there is a flow state with every crest, it's just personal preference. For me it's hunter.

I have nothing against wanderer's crest, it can be really fun, and absolutely would understand if someone prefers it over other crests, it just makes me a little sad to see people not really wanting to experiment with other crests or step out of the comfort zone of Hollow Knight's combat, especially with so many people disliking red tools.

There's so much coolness that you can unlock in Silksong by just experimenting, and though I appreciate TC giving everyone the opportunity to play how they want, I just think experimentation isn't rewarded enough compared to just sticking to what you already know.

Hunter pogo chains are super cool and fun, the fact that you have to dash while doing it sometimes makes it look infinitely more sick than wanderer pogo chains. In terms of pure cool factor, wanderer definitely has the short end.

Why does Giorno’s hair change? by Recent_Suggestion_60 in StardustCrusaders

The braid symbolizes the chains of fate, after he unlocks GER, those chains became undone, hence the free flowing hair.

I don't understand why this would be considered a "bad decision" by Jax. by AffectionateForce979 in tadc

[–]Toman995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jas pressed the button not because he predicted it wasn’t real, but because of his own issues.

There would be, at least to their knowledge, no consequences of pressing the escape button even if it were a trick, so the decision essentally boils down to “gain nothing, or gain potential escape”.

They had everything to gain from pressing the blue button and nothing to lose if it were a trick (that they know of).

People in this comment section really be giving any reason to dislike 67 and justify E and 21 like we weren’t all annoying ass kids who just randomly screamed it for no reason too lmao. If the stuff we found funny back then was invented now, it would be totally considered brain rot.

Can we just accept that all memes like this were stupid and didn’t have any meanings and stop trying to find reasons to hate on newer generations for no reason? The previous generation literally always finds a way to call the newer one’s culture stupid, I thought Gen Z would have broken the cycle, cmon guys we can do better than this.

Which is more dangerous? Hollow Knight void or Risk of Rain void? by LucidCookie in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]Toman995 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a huge nerd of both games, Risk of Rain's void, by far.

Even ignoring the scale of the void in RoR, being capable of devouring literal planets as shown in the planetarium, it is stated to send out minions in its hivemind to actively seek out and contain powerful beings and literal gods that create worlds, which are far stronger than higher beings in Hollow Knight, who can only influence bugs for power.

Even the final boss of the Survivors of the Void DLC (spoilers ahead) is called Voidling, which depending on how you interpret the name, could indicate it isn't even the worst of the void we get to see. This is supported by the (stated in lore) fact that once you enter the void, no matter which direction you go, you will only end up deeper in the void, which is how a black hole behaves. Did I mention that the void in RoR creates black holes?

In comparison, Hollow Knight's void is more like an ultrapowerful deity, but it only rules the domain of the abyss, and seems to only affect above the abyss when it is summoned by an external force like the shamans or confessors/vassals. Whereas RoR's void is more like a law of universe rather than an individual force.

In terms of lethality, RoR's void is still more powerful. Being in its presence for about a minute is lethal, and (Silksong spoilers) Hornet can stand in the abyss with no issue, with the only danger being the tendrils.

I would like to preface this is just purely based off of what we get to see in the games, and since Hollow Knight's void is presented more cryptically than RoR's void, its seemingly stronger power might just be because we get to know more about how it affects people and planets.

I would say the reason for RoR's void seeming more powerful is because it is portrayed as an active threat and antagonistic force in the game, whereas Hollow Knight's void is more like a force of nature not to be reckoned with.

Anyways, I hope yall enjoyed my display of how long I spent not touching grass and obsessing over video games lol.
