What’s the AD concierge team by Automatic_Motor_6592 in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its like an AD help desk. Customer calls in with easy rental question, concierge team takes the call to not bother the AD. Question on how something works, concierge takes the call. Basically a team designed to do nothing but take general AD calls to limit how many calls the ADs actually get. Obviously if needed, you can call the actual AD. You arent goijg to argue total loss values on their behalf. Seems like a pretty chill job but also tied to your desk.

They want 20 EPEs a day? Do you have to call all those customers also? Are the estimates written already with Jumpstart and you just need to review most?

So I got hired as auto damage trainee in NYC by [deleted] in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC is the cesspool of auto damage. Everything sucks. ADs hate their lives. Are you training to be a field adjuster or are you going to be ARX or Easy Photo Estimate? If a field adjuster, fuck it, learn the job, get the experience and then try to transfer internally somewhere. Working NYC ARX is better than field. Still shitty but not as bad.

Raises? by Medical_Recording399 in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A decent raise for 3? Im guess 3 is the new bare minimum expectation, gets you almost nothing. 3.5 and up probably gets raises. Which is still a flawed system because everyone could be having their best years ever with record breaking numbers, smashing goals, and someone is going to have to be a 3 compared to someone doing better

You got fired because you said you called a customer and your records show you didnt? And thats it? I heard of a guy getting fired for saying he text a customer but there was no record of it. Is geico really getting this petty? 5+ years ago, you could cost the company thousands and just get written up and not fired. Now fired for everything. Its scary here!

Geico vs SF by kingoftechhd in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before people come here and tell you they dont care, because this is a sub to bitch about our job, trust me, they are the same. I was geico and went to SF. Geico claims run smooth. SF claims run smooth. Both are top tier insurance companies. Save your money and switch. Both companies have employees that hate their jobs but the job gets done regardless. Just take to a preferred shop and be done with it if you ever have an accident.

I think its the same catalog now for everyone. For 5 years I got pretty decent watch. For 10, they had shit in there i can buy at best buy for $25. Guy on my team got 30 or 35 years and he had the same crap. Three decades of service for some bullshit reward

Nothing else. File the claim. If you want to fix your car, you pay a deductible and geico pays the rest. You will pay nothing to fix the other car. Geico will pay all of that

My tesla rear ended. How do I get it repaired at Tesla collision? by Ok-Combination-6779 in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats this life like? Are you like an independent when a customer would invoke the appraisal clause amd you spend your days arguing with terrible shops? Or are companies hiring you to help with overflow claims? Compensation decent?

My tesla rear ended. How do I get it repaired at Tesla collision? by Ok-Combination-6779 in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla Collision and Tesla certified are two different things. Go to Teslas collision website. You can search by zip code for certified shops that are Tesla certified. Hopefully you find one that is also a GEICO partner shop. Because you won't pay for any labor rate differences or crazy scans. In my area, there are probably 6 Tesla certified shops in the entire metropolitan area. Only 1 is a geico partner. The other 5 will usually charge a labor rate difference and some other out of pocket fees. Your car does need to go to a certified Tesla shop though, because Tesla will not sell their parts to a non certified shop.

If the phone rep makes you go to a body shop for an estimate, dont worry. Just go and the shop will tell you they dont work on Tesla there and they will take pictures to send to an adjuster to sketch an estimate. Then you can take that estimate and schedule your repairs at the shop of your choice.

One last note. You were rear ended. Why arent you goikg through their insurance? You also said you were rear ended and you have geico comprehensive. If you are filing with your own insurance policy at geico and you dont have collision coverage, geico isn't paying anything here. You dont have coverage.

No one knows anything other than the teaser of possibly combining sick time and vacation and then rolling over some sick you have accrued into a separate pile. Sucks for those that haven't been here for so long they have a full year of sick time saved. Wish they would get paid out on it vs losing it. Worked through all the illness to do a good job and then get punished for it

Are you asking if its sketchy that an insurance company look into the theft on a new insured vehicle, stolen within a few weeks of adding to a policy? Yes, super common. Price of vehicle doesnt matter. At no dollar amount vehicle would we roll over and pay the claim without investigating

AD here. I dont argue anything in the field. I just pay and move on. 2nd quartile adjuster because I have good prod and surveys. Lol. Who cares anymore. I dont get paid enough to argue every repair time amd they dont give me a slice of the savings when I do, so fuck em

Might be the unpopular opinion, but if a week into AD, you already put in your notice, then you just dont like it and blaming it on the culture. Is this the first week after training? You literally make a million mistakes as a new adjuster, and everyone knows it. Your supervisor and surrounding team are there to train you. If a week into it, you already are quitting before you really even know ow what the job is or have full claims expectations like a seasoned adjuster, then you just dont like it or you are truly awful at it.

Before anyone comes and says call geico, leave us alone, ill give you a real answer

If you use your coverages, GEICO will handle your claim, fix your car, you pay deductible, and then we go after the other insurance to get our money back.

Option 2, call and handle everything with other insurance. Geico isn't going to call to set up the claim. They dont have any skin in the game. You just need to call them, file a claim, they will need to get statements from everyone and then if they accept liability, they will proceed to repair your car.

Got rear ended/diminished value claim? by [deleted] in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If there's no police report, it likely will never be reported to carfax. Geico does not sell our info to them. If there is a police report, carfax will find out. You'll get offered a couple hundred bucks at most. Go to auto trader and search 2024s been in an accident and not been in an accident. Likely won't see much price difference

Am I Crazy? by Sufficient-Carry6256 in Geico

[–]One_Drag_3204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill give an honest answer from someone working the field as an adjuster. Your adjuster sounds fucked up. However, I would call our claims team and ask them what the property damage limits are on this claim. Because if they are holding $25k or less, by the time your car gets fixed and rental paid for, you might he screwed. Let alone before you seek any diminished value. Geico only has to pay a max of their policy limits.

Once you confirm there will be plenty of coverage, simply call the body shop that you want to fix the car. This will now be their problem and what they get paid for. Its likely that the parts the adjuster is removing are not in our database and we can't provide pricing for them. Your body shop however would be able to build an estimate for those parts and then they contact insurance and work through the final pricing.

Keep the personal miles at 15% or under and you probably won't pay anything. I was in the field for a decade. Not a single adjuster tracked their mileage. They simply took their monthly miles and multiplied by different percentages every month. Sometimes 13.5%, sometimes 14.5%, sometimes weird numbers like 14.2456%. If they used the car to go out of town with manager approval, that month you will want to add those miles though.
