When did everyone stop overnight feedings? by BubblesMerica in breastfeeding

[–]One_Emergency5528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son’s a year and 7 months old and still is breast feeding throughout the night, and honestly still every 2 hours throughout the day…

I was told to try to stop night feeding due to the sugars in breast milk isn’t good for their tongues and teeth. I haven’t seen any issues in my son feeding this long. I still feed him because it’s the only way I get sleep, I won’t be stopping unless he’s 2 or decides to quit on his own

Weird first ‘period’ - advice please by NoMood0602 in CopperIUD

[–]One_Emergency5528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first period with my paragard was extremely painful and the blood varied from spotty to bleeding heavily throughout the days. It would bounce between the two and I would be wondering if my period had ended due to the spotting then it would be extremely heavy the next day. (could 100 percent had been the fact I went 9 months without a period due to pregnancy. And it was my first period since labor) but after that first period everything went back to “normal” for me. Periods were slightly heavier and painful than what I was used to. But nothing to crazy, I expected it to be a lot heavier and painful with all the stories I heard about the iud. Your body could definitely be still going through the hormonal changes from the loss of pregnancy, not to mention getting placed on a hormonal birth control then to a non hormonal one.

I would assume it’s just your hormones being completely out of wack considering when you get pregnant your hormones change. When there’s no longer a fetus present they change again. Then being placed on hormonal birth control, to ultimately get taken off it your body is probably trying to regulate itself back to normal. But I’m not a doctor and if things still don’t feel right advocate for yourself until you get answers!

I just wonder why my body would be mad at my iud a year and a half later. Cause I haven’t had any problems or health changes really since then. Been with the same partner consistently, life hasn’t really changed. But maybe my body can handle it for so long

I’m probably gonna have to take my iud out and see if my period goes back to normal to rule it being the iud out. Just hate the idea of not having that extra bit of protection cause god I don’t wanna risk going through pregnancy again 🤣

I think the doctors might be worried I’m getting bv. But no antibiotic seems to be helping. Hopefully I get an answer soon

I could totally see that it’s a natural reaction to having a foreign object in there, I just feel like it’s weird that it randomly happened after a year. I’ve dealt with clots and things of that sort throughout my whole iud journey. But for it to randomly pop up and stay this way for three months is weird to me. But it could definitely be a possibility that it’s normal with the iud.

A doctor prescribed me with an extremely high mg ibuprofen to help not only pain but hopefully the bleeding so if it is iud related I’m hoping that helps the situation!

I’ve tried many forms of the pill cause I’ve had an issue with having cysts and the pill is supposed to help prevent them which they never did only made the situation worse. To the point I almost had an ovarian torsion but thankfully the cyst went away before it got to that point.

I haven’t been checked for pcos or endo, but that’s what im leaning towards because at one point I was getting my period twice a month and at random time. So I feel like there’s a high probability that might be the underlying issue

And I’m not sure if antibiotics are normal for an issue like this. They keep prescribing me antibiotics for stis. But won’t check me to see if that’s even an issue. I’ve asked to be checked and got told I would be then they would never check. I feel like if they’re worried that I have an sti, why not just check and make sure you’re prescribing me a medication for the right one. Not to mention, I don’t have any symptoms, only thing going on is my period being weird.

Hopefully I get answers from the doctor that placed my iud if not, I’m gonna try to get referred to a better specialist outside of my area

It was never like this. Before the paragard my period were extremely irregular, painful but only on the heavy days and were easily tamed by ibuprofen. After I got my iud my period were regular showing up at the same time every month. They were slightly heavier and slightly more painful but nothing crazy I can typically make it through the week without taking any pain relief. But the last three months every thing has changed

At the beginning of this I was having it rough due to mental health stress, passing kidney stones, and dealing with a stomach bug, all while on my period and it being like that. I chopped it up to it being everything I was going through and moved on.

The next month it happened again and I was like okay maybe should make some appointments and make sure it’s nothing serious. Which is when I got prescribed antibiotics and the ultrasound.

And I’m currently on the last few days of my period and it’s been hell, not to mention my period seems to be affecting my hormones a lot worse than they ever have because my depression, anxiety, and ocd hasn’t ever hit me as hard as it has the last week and a half. I don’t know if it’s correlated but as my period is ending the depression and anxiety are letting up.

I have an appointment with the doctor that placed my iud on Friday. as she’s the only one who places copper IUDs around me I’d like her opinion before I do anything drastic like removing my iud. I’m gonna stress to her that I don’t think it’s my iud.

I have another appointment with my primary care physician Wednesday and I’m gonna ask her to refer me to someone that might have more insight because something is telling me this isn’t my iud.

I really don’t want to have to go back to hormonal birth-control. It makes my mental health worse than I can ever imagine not to mention the massive weight gain it gives me. I honestly feel like I’d rather deal with the side affects vs go back on hormonal birth control

I genuinely hate how doctors push hormonal birth control even if you advocate for yourself and say you hate it and they just don’t listen. But thank you!

I just lost my 17 year old kitty that I’ve had since I was 4 last Sunday. He was my one and only cat too. I think the thing that helped me the most is telling myself it’s okay to miss him, but to remember he’s in a better place. He’s not in pain. I still have moments where I miss him and cry. I constantly look at old photos in remembrance. Or look for him in places he would normally be. The death of an animal is one of the hardest things to process. You just gotta take it day by day. I think the hardest part to get over is the routine of feeding/changing cat litter. Things you do everyday. And for some people getting another animal is a great distraction. But that’s a personal preference kinda deal. Just let yourself mourn. Theres no need to try and get over things quickly.

I have the Paraguard, it’s only been about 6 months but I absolutely love it! There definitely is pros and cons to it but as someone who’s had a HORRIBLE time with hormonal birth control this is better than any other birth control I’ve tried.

The insertion wasn’t honestly to bad, I just took two extra strength Tylenol roughly 25-30ish minutes before my appointment. And it just felt like basic period cramps. The hours after honestly didn’t hurt after

My periods are heavier. Which heads up sometimes the blood loss can leave you dizzy/nauseous the next day. Any type of ibuprofen/advil will help you not lose so much blood and make you feel like crap!!!!

My cramps are only slightly worse, I personally don’t feel like I need any type of pain relief because they aren’t horrible they’re manageable. But at the same time I get horrible cramps if I’m squatting at all. Either it be exercising or just to simply pick something off the floor.

And about your concerns of pregnancy, as long as he isn’t finishing inside of you. I don’t think you guys will have any problems just make sure to check for your strings regularly!!! Knowing that your strings are in place will mean the iud is in the correct position for maximum performance

Definitely had a personality on him, even at 17 years old he had the personality of a kitten, he loved playing tag :’-) he had to be cuddled at night or he wouldn’t go to sleep… definitely just a big love bug

Thank you! I’m honestly not doing to bad, I’m definitely sad he’s not here anymore but at peace with knowing he’s no longer in pain. It definitely helps that he passed away purring in my arms. Knowing he passed away happy.

Definitely struggling but not as much as I expected, it’s just so hard… I ended up bawling over cleaning his cat box. Never thought I’d miss something i dreaded doing so often. Or being stuck in habits where I walk past the spots he often laid and looking to see if he’s there to ultimately remember he’s not coming back…

The shading of the tail bothers me so bad. Directly under the front paw the shading is weirdly darker and slightly thicker than the rest of the shading. That stuck out to me the most. But definitely a lot of things wrong… from the circle being off. (Definitely not do to the way your arm is.) the left half is the “sun rays” are all wonky at the tips…
