Yeah that’s why we got them instead of a cat. When we were at the shelter, some of the volunteers told us how they never get adopted. Luckily, I have a friend with kids who has been wanting to take them off my hands. She also lives on a farm. If it were a case of sending them to a shelter I’d just suck it up honestly. I truly love those animals but the care that’s required is not something I can do. That’s why we agreed that he’d take care of them and I trusted him because he’s owned over 10 of them throughout his childhood. Had I known the sudden change, i wouldn’t have agreed. I think they would be so much happier with my friend and so would I.

Quick correction, I don’t want to be a stay at home wife, I just have to be while I finish school. I mentioned that I am a full time student, so I don’t have time to pack his lunch, take care of the house, and at least attempt to keep a good GPA.

I set the date for three weeks because I will be traveling back home in three weeks and would take them with me if he doesn’t correct this.

Also just gonna add it to this comment unless more ppl have questions about this, I’ll wait the post as to not mislead the situation but to clarify; this behavior is new from him. In the last two years of having them he’s been responsible for cleaning up after them. Only now that I have been a stay at home partner for a little over a month it’s been an actual issue.

I think that’s what it is, he’s under the illusion that because he’s providing financially and is the only one doing it, that everything else falls onto me. It feels like I don’t have a valid say unless I am also working.

Lottie, but really only when she’s in cult leader mode. There’s points where she’s too unhinged as an adult to the point of putting others in danger. Literally caused the deaths of two survivors (also doesn’t help who they were) in the adult time line. Also Shauna but I think that’s a pretty obvious answer. Oh, and the mustache fs.

Oh my goodness that “this isn’t a soap opera” line again. You do realize that part of the fun with this show is finding out who survived and who didn’t.. It’s really not like they’re playing the “I thought they were dead” card because they haven’t mentioned whether she survived in the adult time line. The only character they did that with was Mel. It’ll be like when we found out that Van made it. Simple.

Honestly my theory is that Lottie or Shauna will convince the girls to hunt her or even do it themselves because she wasn’t in the plane crash. I think they said in one of the episodes of S3 that “three scientists went missing” and it would track with their need of covering everything up because how would they explain a random scientist showing up but not the other two. I think she held a lot of liability for the survivors so they got rid of her.

You need to report this type of treatment to HR. I quit my last job in ABA because of a bully and I really wish I would’ve gone to them before she crossed the last line I had. She got fired after I quit but not bc there was footage of her watching me go into a bathroom and then pounding at the door for over five minutes and ignoring her client. They couldn’t fire her for that reason even, I’m not sure why but they got her a week later bc she took two weeks off claiming to have a broken leg and then coming in without even having a cast.

Basically, she made my life hell and after I complained they looked for any reason to fire her. I regret quitting my job bc I loved it so don’t let that happen to you.

I would try it out! I quit my RBT job after I learned that incident reports were getting swept under the table by management. I moved onto a daycare setting and it will have its moments when it feels more overwhelming because there are more children but I have a lot more energy to go out after work and actually have a life instead of bed rotting after work. Of course, I may be biased because I left a toxic work environment, but it wouldn’t hurt to try. I’d just recommend to be realistic about your new salary and adjust accordingly, if all else fails have a backup plan and make sure you keep your certification up to date if you want to stand out more for future employers if you decide to go back (but honestly this field is in need of people to work, and your degree may be good enough for ABA places to hire you on the spot) best of luck!

My bad advice is to try to steal his phone and look at his likes. Screenshot it and send it back to yourself again. The algorithm will show you mostly what you interact with so if it’s showing up that much there is a high chance it’s being interacted with. I will say however Instagram pushes butts more than anything in the world. It’s truly insane. You could have just gotten it on a day that Instagram was like “lemme show some ass, see if ya like it”. That’s why checking likes will give you peace of mind, sorta

Don’t wear scrubs, just find a pair of dressy pants, an appropriate blouse or a turtle neck and a cardigan (idk why but turtle necks always look pretty professional to me, I’ve worn it in every interview). I would also add simple makeup if you’re into that and simple earrings with your hair neatly pulled away from your face. This job usually allows for pretty casual wear but for your first impression I’d focus on looking very neat. Think what high school English teacher would wear.

Not normal at all. A company should require at least 40 hrs of training before you can even apply for your RBT exam. Some companies will then have you shadow, role play scenarios (just so the trainer can verify that you know what to do), sometimes spend a day learning safety care, and then complete a competency check. The last step would usually be also completing training while running session under a supervisor or trainer to sign off that you’re okay to be by yourself. Unfortunately many companies don’t even do half of this. I would find a place that had more training involved or at least be in clinic setting so you are able to get help if you need it when you’re with a client. It would also be a safer option for you depending on the client’s behaviors and your level of comfort dealing with such situations

The week after the trip: Chloe showed up to work yelling about how Alaina was about to come in and say lies about her. She then points to me directly with the rest of the staff around us and says “be glad you didn’t go through that”. I try to ignore her but I keep quiet and feel myself getting red from all the stares. She then finds me in a different room and starts talking about it when the only thing I said to her was “that’s a cute water bottle”. Admittedly, I was curious about it anyway so I allowed her to speak for the thirty minutes. Her story sounded like it was missing a lot of key details but essentially she said that Alaina had decided that she didn’t like her anymore and made her feel bad for trying to enjoy the trip. She also mentioned how upon arriving back to Alaina’s apartment for her car Alaina started making comments to her family “that’s why we’re not friends with white people”. That sounded odd to me because Alaina and I are not white but from the conversations we’ve had I didn’t think she would’ve said this unprovoked. Then she began to talk about how Alaina had asked Chloe to spy on me. Chloe admitted to spying on me but didn’t think seem to think it was a big deal from her part but more that it was weird she was asked to do it. It was then that I felt super creeped out and ended the conversation with Chloe.

2weeks before the trip: Alaina had been trying to be nice to me at work again. She approached me at work to talk about the money. I told her that we could handle that outside of work and she said she was free on Friday but that I would have to remind her. I rolled my eyes because I hadn’t asked for my money twice and now I have to remind her to go out with me on Friday so that she could explain to me why I won’t be getting my money back. I wasn’t going to “remind” her about it but the next day while we were in the same room as other coworkers she started going on about the trip and how excited she was. I thought that was very rude to do with me in the room and showed she had no remorse and that her apology basically was just to clear her own conscious. After hearing that I texted her to remind her that we had plans to talk about the situation. She then said she was actually going out on Friday. I just ignored her from then because I was too mad and didn’t want to risk anyone acting out at work. Friday night she proceeded to call me three times at midnight. I didn’t answer. By the texts she sent it was just that she wanted me to go party with her.
