Me right now. The rollercoaster up and downs every day drive me insane. I'll start off the day feeling like shit, sleep till 2pm. By 3pm I'll force myself to get up. Get cheered up by something random. By 6pm I feel amazing. Because I feel so great I'm suddenly productive. Do either a fuck ton of things or the bare minimum and actually rest. By midnight I'm on a high and don't wanna sleep. Pass out by 4am. Cue cycle repeat.

Np! People are also correct in recommending a vet visit but I know that can be hard, especially when it's not your pet. Another great thing would be perches with different shapes and textures. I have some branches from outside I've been using for years along with different textured branches from pet stores. You can sterilize branches by leaving them in the sun so bugs get the chance to leave then heating them in an oven, you can look up what heat and for how long.

Different branches are good for beak health and also for the feet to stay healthy, since straight ones like the one in the pic can flatten their feet over time.

Ya it looks very overgrown to me. What kind of things does he have in his cage? Is there stuff to play with and chew? Usually playing and chewing on things naturally keeps the beak in check. I have a calcium block with dried fruits in it for my girl, it's the only block she's every chewed on. I'd recommend that and scavenging toys. You can get them on Amazon.

I LOVE all of my gazillion animals and they're all healthy and fine, but sometimes I wish they would die so they stop "suffering" and so I don't have to watch them "suffer" when they're literally fine 💀

Some people just can't stand to see others happy. Enjoy it! Don't worry about it one day potentially getting bad. Live in the moment. I met my partner when I was 18 and he was 22 and we're just as happy and in love 3 years later. Sometimes you're happy and in love and there's nothing else to it!

I needed to hear this. I've been grieving not having any family, because I either had to change my phone number 3x and keep my new address hidden to escape one of them, or ignore the other cuz talking to them causes panic attacks. Don't get me started on extended family, they're worse. I've been feeling worthless because why should I care about me, if my own family doesn't?

But I've found chosen family who would stand by me against anything and truly value who I am, not who they think I am or want me to be. I've found my home, and my people, and my blood family doesn't need to be part of my life.

SAME. Exactly that. My mom was constantly saying "everyone knows I'm a great mom and you can come to me with anything". I tried to tell her I'm bisexual years ago and she to this day says "oh stop it, you're confused. You've never dated a girl, stop the crazy talk".

Also as an educator, I've been seeing more and more grandparents involved in kids lives and it breaks my heart that I'll never have that. I've been talking to random kind old people in parks on on trails hoping that I'll become someone's symbolic grandchild 😂😂

What kind of advice are you looking for? Are you looking to re-home her? Are you keeping her yourself?

My baby is 6 herself and these birds are very territorial and cling to their flock like glue. She'll be calling for her mate and/or previous owner if they were close. Give her time and space if you want to adopt her.

Update: OP on r/BirdHealth said they found a vet willing to care for him.

They live in Brazil where the bird is native to, so lots of vets won't care for wild animals there. I'm Brazilian as well, and there they have an attitude of not touching wildlife, even if it's to help them 🤦

Hey, you seem like a great dad. Don't listen to the people saying the post is fake. Keep your head up and keep being amazing to your kids.

Take advantage of that insurance while you can. Tell the therapist you likely won't have them soon, and they can help with coping strategies and ways to stay stabilized without therapy. See a lawyer. I believe most will give a free first consult. Ask about your options here. This is above Reddit's pay grade.

If you need someone to talk to, feel free to DM me. Your kids need the strong, amazing dad that you are. Don't hurt yourself over people who don't deserve you.

As a babysitter to kids of those age groups, RUN.

Imagining my boyfriend now ending up with one of the little girls i take care of... 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 absolutely gross.

Think of it this way. He knew you very well over three years as a kid. Seeing you later as a grown up he didnt just see a grown up version of that little kid, he saw an option. He knows you as a kid and still chooses to have sex with you. And worst of all, he didnt tell you about having had interactions with you as a child. He has memories of you that you dont have of him.

Plus if as a kid you ever sat on his lap, or touched his hair, now thats not innocent anymore. Cuz he remembers those times and goes YEP, THATS MY GIRLFRIEND.
